OOC Plotting: Region Six and beyond
August is coming to a close, and our setting change approaches. At this point, the modteam can confirm our previous projections: September will be the last month of Arc II.
With that in mind, we wanted to offer a few details: both in regards to current log, and the schedule coming up as a whole. The upcoming month is predictably going to be relatively packed, and we appreciate your willingness to bear with us as we move toward the climax—as well as your fantastic contributions to getting us there!
Region 6
Due to a mix of IC and OOC reasons, we wanted to both warn and confirm: a mass breakout is feasible (and expected to happen)... but not until September 9th. This is due to a combination of reasons. ICly, more resources and information will become available to the PCs partway into September, enabling them to take actions they could not have managed previously. And OOCly, we want to be sure enough downtime exists between major events for everyone—mods and players both—to stay on track. August's events were plot-heavy already, and September will be more so; we're pacing things to avoid having too much too soon.
Which isn't to say player characters can't make attempts—or stockpile resources and prepare to make a move. A breakout opportunity will be provided regardless, but characters certainly don't have to sit and wait for it—if they come up with plans of their own, the actual breakout could result from a combination of things. If you have a question, idea, or request related to this plot, we encourage you to submit it below—or on the feedback page if you prefer.
The intermediaries who travel inside to deliver food and necessary supplies can be spoken to. At this point in time, we won't be threading out discussions with them, but anyone who has specific questions or interactions they want to relay can deposit them below, and receive an OOC summary of the response. They will not appear to take Siddony's warning seriously, and will deflect or refuse all questions regarding his fate.
A look ahead
As the log linked will extend into September, we wanted to provide a rough summary of the plotting ahead. Player actions can and will change the specifics of events, but through a combination of our plotting efforts and yours, this is our current timeline:
- August 26-September 9: Detention in Region 6 (log)
- September 1: New Arrivals
- September 6: A Significant NPC
- September 9: An Exodus
- September 10-24: Things Escalate
- September 25-30: Climactic Plot!
- September 31: Arc End
Thanks for your plotting, your participation, and your excellence across the board. We're looking forward to showing you what's next!

jgeigj;jfaf /end obligatory keymashIn regards to close personal companions, in a Guardian's case, their Ghost- will they also be classified as belongings and hence not present? And if so, would they be kept elsewhere (locked away) or would they be free to
panicgo around doing whatever they can to locate its Guardian?no subject
Accurate or not, it would not appear to him while inside the detention center.

While less noticeable due to the short interval, any characters who changed outfits in that time may also notice they are wearing the clothes they had on at the meeting—not anything they might have changed into for the offworld trip after.

On a whole, though, the complete paralysis towards violence seems to range from one to a few hundred meters. Effects linger to a degree for those who pass outside this radius; having lost their violent intent, they will need to recall it, and being within even a lesser proximity makes aggressive action difficult (if not impossible) to rationalize.

1. He would ask the intermediaries keeping the borders whether he could speak to her personally. If not, he'll accept it (he's not really up for fighting them on anything), but he'll ask why not.
2. If yes, he'll ask her what he did wrong and what he can do to fix it. He doesn't object to continuing "therapy" since he'd been thinking he still needed it himself but he'd thought he was doing the right thing, what does he still not understand?
She hugged him and everything wtf ;_______;

A few days later, she would come to meet with him. She would express sympathy toward him and his doubts (more hugs if he accepted!), and acknowledge that perhaps they should have granted him sanctuary for longer. She would confirm that he has acted well, and that she continues to be proud of him—for progressing as he did, and for his efforts to bring understanding to those around him. However (gentle reminder), this situation is not strictly about him. Those he came with have made choices too, and many have resulted in massive death and suffering. The situation cannot continue.

Re: Questions/Comments
If it's not something that I missed on the OOC end (it's very possible that it is; I miss stuff all the time), then would the intermediaries who visit pass on a little more information on it if he asked? I don't think L is well placed at all to discover who the saboteur is, but I do think that if he didn't know anything about what happened he would at least try to get more details to
obsess overgo on.(no subject)
Re: Questions/Comments
Also I know it says "advanced" so are we talking stoves, microwaves, refrigerators? Or is their stuff that people advanced enough to build armor in caves might be able to cobble together convenient devices?

Since Ocelot was in-training for being an intermediary before they left, would it be possible to speak to one of them, just to get a general sense of why some are being punished for the actions of the many? Why not just do something about the problem spots instead of everyone? He'd still be super polite and not hostile since... you know, you have to play the long game.

In regards to them Ass Effects, are character's omni-tools being taken away completely or are their abilities simply being nerfed/deactivated/etc? (Since they just appear as a holographic interface on a character's forearm I'm not actually sure how they are removed/attached aside from "UNEXPLAINED MASS EFFECT SCIENCE BULLSHIT" but I can roll with anything <3)

Would it be removed somehow, or just left with the weaponized internal parts deactivated? So it'd be just a metal prosthetic instead of a cyborg weapon thing?

So there's a forcefield bubble surrounding the island - how far out from land is the forcefield? I have an idiot who would very happily attempt to swim to freedom, so I just want to know if she'll smack into it while still knee deep or if she'll have to swim a few hundred metres out to hit it.

king mode on
If they'd be inclined to, and if such hadn't been told him when he'd first arrived, then he'd ask more about the circumstances that had led to the Savrii's decision to place them in confinement. He would also ask about the tampering incidents.
Antagonizing them is the last thing he wishes to do, but he'll speak with them as long as they'll allow it, mostly because he wants to be brought up to speed and get as much information about what the heck's going on as he can.
He'd also like to ask why everyone must be kept in such a place when surely not everyone could be at fault, and if it would be possible for them to speak to whatever representatives to reason and work something out?

Kazuhira Miller will probably be aiding the Super Snake Squad in their escape attempts so whoever ends up helping them, they'll get a thumbs up.
