Tribute Day

On the local calendar equivalent of Jan. 29, the day that Allcorans have been preparing for arrives. With very little warning, The Ones From Above descend on the planet.

For all of this world's living memory, the mysterious beings have descended from the sky to enter combat with the tributes who have proved their skill in the Arena. Although they are not individual fearsome, each being no larger than a small car, they have the advantage of weaponry and numbers. Having no significant supernatural skill and armed with inferior weaponry, the tributes always lose and die, but are honored for their show of respect with a boon that benefits their society as a whole.

With the Avagians here, all that can change, as many have powers and abilities of their own. The cyclical invading force can be defeated once and for all. If the visitors to the world take on The Ones From Above and win, the cycle of tributes will end, leaving the Allcorans free to forge a new future. The Avagians will be granted the final boon in the form of a golden egg—but what it contains will only be discovered when it hatches.

While usually over in the span of one day, the additional show of resistance will extend the cycle. Additional waves of invaders will appear at intervals after the destruction of their predecessors, extending the duration of the attacks until February 2nd. No separate log will be posted, but players are free to use the main world-visit log or make their own posts. Feel free to ask questions here!

As of Jan. 30, Nathan Drake is passing the fuck out in the middle of his dwelling and will spend the next three days/three years back on Earth where he moves to New Orleans, ditches treasure hunting for a legal hunting, and gets swole as hell because apparently marine salvage is a more vigorous workout than adventuring.

I mean damn son.

He'll be updating to close to the end of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, when he and his brother are dragging their sorry asses ashore after swimming away from a pirate ship that was rigged to explode. Good times!
