AUTO-DROPS
The following characters failed to reply to Activity Check and are slated to be dropped. Please check the list, and if you have a concern, correction, or last-minute activity, drop it off below! As there has been some confusion recently, we want to make it clear: we do offer a couple-day grace period for late comments. However, once your drop is processed, it is final. Going forward, characters who drop due to AC may not be re-apped by the same player for a period of one month.
- Andyr Prince- Ardyn Lucis Caelum
- Corrin
- Jack Wynand- Jamie Fraser- Jean Grey
- John Murphy- Peter Parker- Stephen Strange
- Ultra Magnus
MOD APPS
Are still open! If you have interest in helping run the game and develop its direction going forward (or doing more of that, if you're a list mod!), please comment on our feedback page with the form below.
ASTEROID 276
Over the past week, we've had a number of good questions about the modifications available at Asteroid 276. As character interactions will have a significant effect on the month's plot moving forward, we wanted to give players a chance to work out what alterations their characters may be obtaining for what price. Please note: the genetic modifications on the asteroid are real, and will have the potential for unplanned effects as plot develops. (Players may choose the severity of these effects, and it's entirely possible to have your character experience no harm. The opposite, however, is also on the table.)
If your character is looking to purchase an enhancement or change, please fill out the form below! As noted on the event log, several aspects of Asteroid 276 are intended for discovery by the characters, and we'd also like to encourage more general interaction with the setting. If you have any questions about what your characters might do or find, ask away.
Thanks for reading!
Asteroid 276: MODIFICATIONS
As the Greeter will explain to interested parties, while (large) payments of sencs will be accepted, the commune is looking to establish friendly relationships and a better understanding of their potential partners going forth. As a result, they will supply their services in exchange for a single item that holds value in your eyes-- as long as you can explain to her the story behind its worth. You are, of course, assured that all your information will be kept in strictest confidence.
Re: Asteroid 276: MODIFICATIONS
Desired modification: A long, lion-like tail. A strength upgrade in Asriel's legs.
Trade good(s): A comic book, drawn by Asriel.
Story: The comic book tells the story of a monster prince (who looks suspiciously like Asriel), who goes on a heroic adventure to the world of humans to save his people and his sibling who goes missing. It covers his various heroic acts, from meeting a mentor who teaches him how to fight (Rinzler) to being rescued by a strange but cheerful skeleton man who joins him on his journey (Papyrus). At some points he ends up captured by slavers, but he fights them all off with some help of a robot who also joins his journey (Mettaton). And they end up meeting a human who considers themselves a monster (Frisk) and wants to join them.
It ends with the monster price fighting the main villain with his band of friends and saving the world/monsterkind/humankind/etc.
While the story is based on Asriel's friends and some of the stuff he's been through on the Moira, it is 100% wish fulfillment.
APPROVED
Asriel's medical experience will go more interestingly-- namely, when they try to take a blood sample. While the specifics of the experience (dust, blood, etc.) are up to you, it's clear after only a minute that the scientists received results they hadn't been expecting. The "basic test" turns longer, and although the scientists seem visibly excited, their efforts at communicating their needs tend toward abrupt and half-intelligible. Eventually they call the Greeter back in to assist. She asks Asriel a number of questions about monsters and the world they come from... and their relations with humans, oddly enough.
Once answered, she assures him they will be able to compensate for the unexpected effect of his biology. When the time for the procedure comes, Asriel will be given a sweet, delicious drink that causes him to fall asleep almost immediately. He will wake up one day later, in the recovery wing outside the labs with one lion-like tail and a strength upgrade to his legs.
The tail will be mostly without complications (though not knowing how to use it in the least may offer him some challenges). The strength upgrade, however, draws from Asriel's own resources-- or more specifically, his stats. If he uses it to boost his SPEED, Asriel will suffer a corresponding penalty to DEF. If he uses it to dodge and avoid attacks from others, his own ATK may suffer. The details are up to you, but the effect should be approximately equal.
Asriel will not be told about this side effect.

Desired modification: Restoration of his left arm, if possible, or something equivalent
Trade good(s): He'll be bringing everything he owns (which isn't much) on the off-chance that they'll accept any of them, because he's desperate. He'll first try to trade his silly crossbow though.
Story: It was custom made for him by a friend back home that hasn't come to Savrou. It's pretty useless to him as he has zero archery training, and even if he did he won't be able to use it as is anymore if they can successfully regrow his limb. However, he's fond of it for sentimental reasons, not least of all because it's so silly, and he'll be sad to give it up. The explanation is true, but he might purposely lay it on a bit thick in the hopes it'll be more convincing.
APPROVED
Assuming he answers, she'll accept the gift, and turn him over to the care of the researchers for his procedure. Pre-operation work goes as expected, and after a few samples and one more probing examination of the stump (Lavellan will be put to sleep for that duration), they claim they are ready to begin. Lavellan will be given his choice of sedative as he is brought into the operating region of the labs, and wake up twenty-four hours later with a restored arm.
Nerve connection is complete, and while it may take a few days for the motor cortex to complete remapping, he should have at least clumsy use of the limb when he wakes up. Fine control will assert itself quickly, and by the end of the month, he should have a fully working limb. However, it will take substantially longer for him to channel magic through this arm. Until April 30th, the restored limb will be unable to affect or be affected by magic. After that, it will return to normal slowly, over the course of a month.
If asked about this side effect, the researchers will suggest giving it more time.

Desired modification: Removal or at least severe modification of the gene that controls addiction, to the point that substances (hopefully) cannot be used to control her. The ability to change the color of all of her skin, to be able to cover up the existence of her siren tattoos.
Trade good(s): Knowledge of the rare substance known as eridium (though not without securing the promise that it will not be used on any person. Information on all Vaults that she knows about.
Story: Though the Greeter has gotten parts of her story so far, Angel would divulge the last bits of it, the information on Eridium and Vaults, to highlight the desperate need for the modifications requested. She would explain that, thanks to the efforts of both Snake and Lavellan, that she opted not to remove her powers entirely, but enough to keep herself safe should any formerly interested parties arrive on Thisavrou.
APPROVED
When Angel explains her own decision and her goals, the Greeter is quiet for a long moment. Eventually, she asks: "Do you seek revenge against those who harmed you, if they arrive?" The question has no inflection, but her eyes stay fixed on Angel until she gives an answer. Whatever it might be, the Greeter will nod, passing no judgement, and moving on to the technical explanations.
The skin modification is an easy one (which she herself possesses). Removing all capacity for addiction will stunt several of Angel's basic biological functions (the neurotransmitters involved being crucial to learning, memory, and general happiness), but they can dial down her genetic predisposition and hardwire her reward circuit to a fixed "natural" maximum. The technobabble only gets more complicated from there, but she assures Angel the effect will be as intended-- she will only ever be as addicted to a drug as she might be to a good book or video game.
Angel will be required to take a sedative of choice before being brought into the labs. When she awakens outside them one day later, she will have a decreased capacity for addiction and color-changing skin. The former will be innate, but the latter will require substantial practice to control, and may fluctuate with her emotions for a while.
The Greeter will talk Angel through several techniques for managing this side effect.

Desired modification: Curing the migraines he's had since resurge
Trade good(s): A pager
Story: Alan seems reluctant to tell the full story, but he says that the pager has been by his side for decades now. He explains that the technology is largely obsolete back in his home universe, but he's held onto it anyway waiting for a certain page. However, he's since decided that there's no longer any point in keeping it. It's been nonfunctional since he arrived on the Moira anyway.
no subject
Alan can provide her with the true answer, or attempt to lie, divert, or otherwise replace his story with a false one. (Or withdraw his request, if he would prefer.) What will he choose?
no subject
Alan’s story peters out here. He repeats that he now knows there’s no point in keeping the pager any longer, but doesn’t seem to want to go into any more detail than that.
no subject
He receives a few more warnings regarding the actual procedure-- while experts at duplicating and improving biological material, the researchers don't make a practice with tampering with sentient minds, and if the flaw is embedded too deeply in his neurology, they may be unable to assist. They plan to approach it from the peripheral nervous system first, as lights and sounds can be a trigger.
Alan will be asked to take a sedative of his choice before being brought into the labs. He will awaken 24 hours later with no recurring migraines. He will also discover that his optical prescription has changed (oddly, a little for the better) and may need to obtain new glasses as a result.
If asked about this side effect, the researchers will apologize for the mistake.
