[Ever since they arrived on this strange planet, after the crash, Logan has been half restless. Charles, the kids, they all have settled in a semi-normal life at the new mansion, but for the Wolverine, it still feels too surreal. He's fought all of his life, he's lost so much that he always expects to wake up one morning and have this...good life taken away from him again.
Maybe that's why he can't really settle down to one job. He takes contracts here and there to help Chuck pay the bills for the mansion, teaches the kids what they need to know to survive, because if he has access to them this young in their life, he's sure as hell going to make sure they'll make it, if he ever doesn't. But he can't find something permanent, it's not in his nature, and he's not trusting this feeling of comfort to last. Life always screws him up anyway, and it's always the ones he cares for that pays for it.

He growls as he drops the cigar, claws coming out with that familiar 'snikt'.]
