Rescue Operation.
The mods gave me permission to start up the rescue business (for which it has no name yet, so I'm open to recommendations there). The idea for it came from the Wildlife Aid Youtube channel and the Pitbulls and Parolees show, along with documentaries on major military rescue operations for civilians in combat zones. In the entry where Kaz asked about it, it was brought up that AIs might need rescuing too, especially those that don't come with legs.

  • It'll exist as a rescue service even without a PC leader. No one has to talk to Miller and associates or anything to do stuff since all he's doing is getting it started. PC organizers will have to do some offscreen IC organization will help work out equipment, paychecks, and extended staff (PC and NPC) such as film crew and administrative work.

  • The set up will be that "episodes" will be broadcast/made available for download, and there might be footage of the rescuers if said rescuer is willing to let it be filmed. Or rescued NPCs might have interviews appear online / footage of them after they've recovered from their injuries and doing well.

  • Possible targets of rescue can be children, animals, the elderly, AIs of various stripes, other civilians, and POWs depending on what's available.

  • Rescuers also may receive fan letters ranging from "I want to grow up to be just like you" to "I find you inspirational" to "dat ass" (sorry for the occasional bad apple). Assuming support work is also encouraged.

  • Everyone that participates can have assumed basic rescue equipment or use their own (event restrictions applying). They are funded but funding isn't unlimited so they won't have access to anything too extravagant, so people using their own stuff will be encouraged. Rescues can be (but aren't restricted to) an additional prompt for any dangers happening with monthly events if you want. They can be conducted however the player seems fit.

  • If people want to get paid and not just volunteer, it'll be around 200 sencs with some variance of plus or minus 50 sencs depending on how difficult a rescue is. Finding a lost child in a deep cave, untangling a bird from a tennis net, or sneaking into a hostage situation all take different levels of danger and investment after all. The work is meant to be more generous than lucrative.

  • Have fun and enjoy your ten minutes of fame/warm fuzzy feelings of having done a good deed/bumps and bruises.

    Permissions form code.
I made a permissions code for Sav way back before stuff changed, and I made a new one. It mostly has the same information as the last. Info to be filled in are between the "---"s.

I currently have it on Kaz's permissions. If there are any problems let me know.

I'm also going on hiatus until about the 5th or so. I'll backtag some things (and tag into one thing) but otherwise I won't be hitting anything new for a bit.
