activity

Our monthly activity check happens from the 1st to the 7th of each month. Any single part of the following can be used to meet your activity requirements:

5 comments from your character in a log
10 comments in a network thread
15 comments from an IC inbox thread
1 open network post, log post, or open starter in an event log

The comments used for your base activity cannot be used for bonus AC.

The tags used for Activity Requirements (base or bonus) must be OOCly from the month the check pertains to. (October tags are to be used for November's AC check, not this one.) Backtags are fine, but if you are having trouble fulfilling AC, please don't hesitate to contact a mod.

For hiatuses: if the hiatus is between 1-2 weeks, AC will be half of the current requirements, and your character will have been in medical or on auto-pilot for the duration of the hiatus. If the hiatus is more than 2 weeks, AC requirements are waived completely, though characters are still required to check in. Anything less than 1 full week will still be required to provide full AC.

As a reminder: ALL characters accepted prior to October are required to respond to AC, or contact the mods if they are unable.

bonus

For each three additional proofs of activity (up to a maximum of nine), characters will be granted an option for a bonus reward. These proofs may be continuous or individual (e.g. a 15 comment log thread, three 5 comment log threads, a 7 comment and an 8 comment log thread), but must not overlap with either your base AC or any other bonus you submit. Additionally, a log, post, or starter cannot be double-counted: either you submit the entirety as one proof, or you count comments and submit it for however many proofs it's worth. Bonus rewards will vary per month.

This month, bonus activity will be eligible for the following rewards:

First (3 proofs):

They say a man can live on packaged food from here 'til judgement day, if he's got enough rosemary. Rosemary, you're fairly sure this isn't, but the unlabeled bottle of spices you found stashed in your new room will definitely add some kind of flavor to your cubes of saylent blue.

Second (6 proofs):

Scavenging for parts to repair those damaged systems? Well, you did find a tool set. Unfortunately, it appears to be a teaching kit designed for kids. Still, with these materials, novices and experts alike can learn to make a whole collection of high pitched sirens! Because a dozen of those in confined halls won't bother anybody. Right?

Third (9 proofs):

Hidden in the depths of an unopened storage locker, you turned up a fully stocked first aid kit. Some of the materials have degraded over time, and not all of it will be designed for your species. Still, in a strange environment with few medical experts and fewer supplies? This item is one to hold onto.

Please note: the reward system operates on a choose one basis. A character submitting more activity has more choices to select between, but no character should receive more than one of options 1-3. This is to prevent IC wealth buildups for OOC reasons, and to allow us to offer more interesting options without skewing game opportunities toward the most active tier.
