Afraid of the Dark:

[Clara's learned not to fear the darkness. There's still sometimes where it bothers her, but she's not as afraid as she used to be. She used to need a hand to hold to move through pitch darkness, now she takes the time to appreciate her ability to go at it alone. That slight bit of appreciation is what keeps her from panic when the lights go out unannounced.

She's making her way through the corridors, attempting to learn the layout of her new home. With the lights out, exploring is near impossible. Add in the eerie sounds echoing about the area, and she's feeling on edge. She keeps moving forward, up until something hits her leg. Giving a startled yelp, she reacts by swinging that leg forward and kicking at whatever's there.

It's only after her foot comes in contact with someone or ends up ghosting through the air and causing her to stumble that she realizes someone else is lost in the darkness with her.

Does this happen often? Seems like we need to find a better energy source to keep things running properly.

Jeepers Creepers:

[It's probably not a great idea that Clara managed to wedge a steel pipe off part of the wall. Especially since her paranoia is running at an all time high, and she's very nearly just taken someone's head off after the lights switched back on. She isn't sure why she feels the way she does, all that she knows is that she's certain she's in danger. After running herself into a corner, her fight instinct kicks back in.

The feel of cool metal against her back as she wedges her way into a corner doesn't do much to calm her. Everything's still hazy, vision blurred as a figure approaches. She squeezes her eyes shut tight and swings her pipe. Her arms are trembling, just like the rest of her. She isn't going to be able to make accurate swings, and just ends up clutching the stupid pipe close to her chest. Whatever's there is edging in nearer. Being disoriented and trying to handle the fear that's consumed her is making her a little frustrated.

If someone takes a swing at your head, you don't move in closer!
