"Hey, stop! You're going to get yourself killed, kid!" Adam started after her although even though he was risking that knife stabbing into his face or making another hole in his clothes. The girl was surprisingly fast, just as her quick kick and stab had been surprisingly fast. He hadn't seen those kind of reflexes in any teen before, not that he could remember anyway.

The immediate concern for her well-being was passed, and a second later he became angry and picked up his pace.

"Get back here!" he called after her. She reached the door first, although Adam spilled out into the hallway a few seconds later and grabbed at her arm. If he caught her, he would pull her to a stop and keep her there.
