[ Cue skapstick comic relief music as he's pulled along by the giant alien squid monster thing. Against all odds, his first instinct isn't to let go of it at all partly because it's a challenge to rodeo something this big. The other part to it is that it's his catch, and what kind of fisherman would he be if he let it go and didn't claim it as his trophy?
Some would say he's brave for trying this at all. Others would more accurately call him foolish. ] Wait-- wait! Don't shoot yet!
[ He calls from where he's being pulled along in the water. The beast curves, and he uses the whiplash to his advantage, propelling himself towards the body of the giant fish. Taking out a pocket knife, he lodges it into the side to grip onto the thing, and just in time, too. It thrashes to the side right before hitting the docks. It's not over yet, because now it's swimming towards Nathan.
Using the knife as leverage he pulls himself atop, leaps, and strikes again onto the dorsal side of the giant fish while still holding onto the fishing pole. Grunting and blinking through the spray of salt water, he pulls back the same way one would pull on a horse's reins. Unfortunately that only raises the beast's maw by a fraction before the string snaps, failing to slow it down. ] Okay-- .....now I can use some help!
[ Fire at will, buddy. He'll be ready to leap off. ]
