Then I woke up tied to a chair in a shipyard because Marlowe's hired pirate decided to gun for Iram himself, and I went after his ship because he said he had Sully as leverage. It was just a con. After the ship went down [because of course it did] I just kept thinking that I was going to drown there and I'd never see you again, never...

[He drifts off for a moment, visibly unsettled.]

Washed up on the shore. Made it to your place, where I found out they had nabbed Sully but you had a plan. Then came the plane and the desert and Iram.

A week like that...it puts things in perspective really clearly.
