And he does have a good impression of Miles so far, so while he's cautious, he doesn't see any reason not to be polite. He respects a talented mind and Miles seems to have that much.]

That depends. I wouldn't take you for a mercenary at a glance, so I'm assuming the brute force isn't part of what you like.
