[The smell of sulphur and ash in the air is powerful, and Jadzia has a hand over her mouth, squinting whenever the wind blows stinging particles; ineffective at best, but better than nothing. So far at least, the atmosphere wasn't toxic just...unpleasant. She's only giving the terrain a cursory look; she knows better than to do any serious exploring before getting better equipped. Someone else seems to be doing some exploring too, although seemingly of a different kind, and Jadzia watches the other them - a race she doesn't recognize outright - with patient curiosity.
