[ As is so often and painfully the case, Courser has better manners than his companion. Adrien doesn't even pick up on the subtle cue that no might be a good time to offer his own name, even as makes a mental note of Andyr. He really is just that bad at these things.
He's also a little distracted by watching Courser out of the corner of his eye. The young bahari is immediately caught up by the game of dangling chain. For him, the implication of the chain means nothing, it's merely a toy and he jumps and twists and bats at it. At one point Andyr might witness teeth, that suggest the young cat isn't entirely to be trifled with, attach to chain and try to yank it down.
Adrien clears his throat at about the same moment Courser recognizes his play is getting too rough and he quickly lets go and goes back to darting in and around their legs.
Before the doctor can make a comment about the word 'sister' (and his ears did perk up a bit there) they are at the Medbay and Andyr is moving through the doors like a man possessed. He even leaves Courser in his wake and the bahari shares a quick glance with his companion, before Adrien nods and motions towards the young man. Unless Andyr pushes him away, he's going to find Courser jumping up on the bed with him, head tilting at him curiously.
Adrien's movements are more reserved and concise. He shares a glance with the medbay tech who had given him shit earlier and reaches his hand out to take the chart that is passed to him. It was the intake datapad they had opened on Andyr. Walking over towards the bed, he grabbed a cart that carried all the necessary evils for drawing blood and also taking vitals, though the doctor reached into the pocket of his lab coat and withdrew a stethoscope that did not appear to be standard issue.
He spun datapad about and held it out towards Andyr so the man could take it and read what was reported. ]
The vitals and data we take today will be used to set the baseline parameters that feed into your MID. This information is used to maintain a status check on your condition. If you are injured or your vitals drop to near death levels, it alerts medical to your need for aid.
[ Well aware of how it sounded, he gave Andyr a knowing look. ]
Before you say it. At this time there is no way to remove the MID. You want to find a way around it, I'm sure you're not the only one on the crew, you can go find friends later. For now, this is what it does and part of the file the data we're drawing now.
[ Would it be easier on him to lie? Yep. But Adrien chose his time and his place when he needed to lie and this was neither.
About this time, Andyr might also note that a paw was bumping his forearm. Excuse but ... ear rubs??
