Some crew won't want to sit around with glass limbs or parts as the medbay techs and doctors try to figure out how to fix it, so if they want to try on their own, it's up to them. The transformation part of the plot will go into the second part of the event, and it will allow for the transformations to be permanent or be cleared up depending on the player.
