If she is setting traps on the Moira, they would be wary of them and some would even get caught in them, but they would not think to disable them or purposely search for more. If she captures or detains them, she doesn't have to be the one to push them into the Ingress. Another crew member will have that task, most likely appointed by one of the Captains, or the Captains themselves will assist in pushing them into the Ingress. Since there are also numerous crew who would willingly push the Caducans into the Ingress without the Captains ordering them to do that, Peridot doesn't have to be part of that if she isn't comfortable or in agreement.
