OOC Plotting Post for Ingress stuff!

Hello Savorites!

Mel and Lae here with a follow up to this IC post about the Ingress Journals.

Rather than putting up a log and trying to thread noodling out the translations, we would like to invite anyone who has a character who will be pitching in to help to sign up here.

Basically give us a brief idea of how your character will be contributing!

ICly this will take the characters approximately a week to ten days at which time they will manage to get bits and pieces of the journals translated, which will be in a follow-up post.

For now please feel free to jump on board and lend a hand! As little or as much as your character would be interested in offering. Also, even though we don't have a log planned, please feel free to use this post to coordinate scenes and threads, make all the CR opportunities!

If you'd like to follow something, their work could eventually lead them to understand that certain symbols, when combined a vague handwave way certain way, actually draw out to form sentences.

That's the good news! Bad news ... still no idea what those sentences say, but hey one step closer, right?

Yeah, I can share that stuff IC-ly! I didn't add it to my initial comment but I can always make another or something. I'm not completely sure how Lex intended Starflight's notes to be disseminated, but I don't think saying they were with the journal (even if they may also have been elsewhere) would be off. I'll make a note to myself in my tag tracker so hopefully I'll remember to do this tomorrow.

Also, tagged in and fine with the timeline crunch! yay!

Okay, so I double-checked with the mods (I've had this sort of thing come up before with Kaworu on the Del Pascia so this isn't new territory) and the verdict is that I can go ahead and play around with this.

They did suggest I could have Kaworu not COMPLETELY immune so that he can escort people or be able to bring things back if that's how that pans out, but still be affected, which I like a lot more.

So there you go, an official verdict for you.

Any chance to still join the U room group prior to opening? Totally understand if no, as it's quite a bit late!

Hey!

The actual opening of Section U (removing the whispers and the disorientation) is a very small piece, that has a time crunch on it. This is why it was kept to a smaller group, for logistics purposes as well as has been moving along faster than other sections.

That said, everything in Section U is open and available to all characters; just with no more whispers and disorientation. They can investigate the workroom (any detailed questions about the room should go to the mods), and any of the labs. The documents from the workroom will be available in the Ingress room. That's why there is a second sub thread for Section U that is open.

So everything of interest is available to all characters to follow up on!

I'll think about it, because I might like tag into the open part.

At that point he's at least as much of a nuisance as he is anything else, though, because again with the shortcomings inherent to being eight months old and inherently incapable of humanlike cogitation.
