Due to the nature of what he is and the nature of his AT Field (I can clarify if you want) he can't be disoriented by the whispers. However, he is also pretty limited in his ability to access things and relay useful information from things he doesn't already understand. This also means he'll be utterly useless for translating runes; language is not a power native to Angels anyway. So he's useless until then.
