The A.R.I.D., or "Arid" as she's taken to calling herself, has never had any desire to be human or to feel things. Until recently, she couldn't say she really "desired" anything at all, having only recently discovered that she was even capable of having desires beyond her primary function to protect and obey her pilot.
Upon arrival she remained integrated in her empty mark-7 combat suit, if only because it was the only 'body' she had ever known how to manipulate. Even the idea that it was her suit now- not her pilot's- was a strange and new consideration. It was clearly designed for a male human, for Colonel Josephs, and not for... whatever she was.
That being said, Arid is still intrigued by Cortana's strange happy behavior. If she's going to be around more humans from now on, she may as well make an attempt to understand them. Voice and movements robotic, the AI approaches.]
Observations show that you appear to be full of joy, yet I see no immediate cause for such emotion. Is there a logical reason for your emotional state?
