Our monthly activity check happens from the 1st to the 7th of each month. Any single part of the following can be used to meet your activity requirements:

5 comments from your character in a log
10 comments in a network thread
15 comments from an IC inbox thread
1 open network post, log post, or open starter in an event log

The comments used for your base activity cannot be used for bonus AC.

The tags used for Activity Requirements (base or bonus) must be OOCly from the month the check pertains to. (July tags are to be used for August's AC check, not this one.) Characters who have just been accepted are required to check in, though they do not need to provide activity. Backtags are fine, but if you are having trouble fulfilling AC, please don't hesitate to contact a mod.

For hiatuses: if the hiatus is between 1-2 weeks, AC will be half of the current requirements, and your character will have been medical on the Ingress Complex or on auto-pilot for the duration of the hiatus. If the hiatus is more than 2 weeks, AC requirements are waived completely, though characters are still required to check in. Anything less than 1 full week will still be required to provide full AC.

For each three additional proofs of activity (up to a maximum of nine), characters will be granted an option for a bonus reward. These proofs may be continuous or individual (e.g. a 15 comment log thread, three 5 comment log threads, a 7 comment and an 8 comment log thread), but must be distinct, both from your base AC and from any other bonus you submit. Additionally, a log, post, or starter cannot be double-counted: either you submit the entirety as one proof, or you count comments and submit it for however many proofs it's worth. Bonus rewards will vary per month.

This month, bonus activity will be eligible for the following rewards:

First (3 proofs):

Emergency light sources are being distributed across Kauto. You have the option to receive one! The light glows only dimly, but will last a full cycle (100 days) before needing any kind of outside power.

Second (6 proofs):

You stumble upon a vendor selling The Perfect Thermal Blanket. For whatever reason (luck, pity... theft) you receive one of their last items. True to advertising, the blanket acts as an an ideal insulator, retaining body heat regardless of the cold outside. Of course, the remaining variety of patterns may leave much to be desired.

Third (9 proofs):

Tired of generic rations or canned goods? Worried about how to Include Natural Fruit Juice in your diet, with the chaos wreaked on Kauto's farms? Fear not. Through quests untold and voyages that were probably epic in some way, you have achieved the pinnacle of alternative nutrition.

Special (linked IOU from last month):

While going about your business, you may notice a slight glow following you furtively. And giggling. A group of Kh'Chat youngsters have decided to play a prank on you-- at the conclusion of which, they offer a small stone as a reward. While not itself living, the stone is warm to the touch, and holding it invokes the feelings of your fondest memory.

Please note: With the exception of the special reward for activity last month, the reward system going forward is on a choose one basis. A character submitting more activity has more choices to select between, but no character should receive more than one of options 1-3. This is being done to prevent IC wealth buildups for OOC reasons, and to allow us to offer more interesting options in the future without skewing game opportunities toward the most active tier.
