Tell us something about them. Ratchet left the Moira with some crew mates about a year ago….it just feels like it’s only been three days for them. Ratchet is a full time space alien, part time nerd.
How long have they been in the game? FRESH. He was in Act I for over a year but that was...over a year ago.
Are they doing any kind of work around Avagi? Ratchet has been doing a lot of experimenting with reprogramming/building the taskbots, but in a very informal capacity and not really doing anything with them that’s useful. He’s been helping out where possible with the network set-up on the ship as well, more in the hardware than the software department.
Short-term goals? Getting re-established; he’s been gone a lot longer than he thought, and much of the crew has changed, and the ones who were here before are….different. Getting a handle on things, figuring out who’s who and what’s what takes priority. Helping get things into a functional and livable state is the next thing and Ratchet will be more than happy to help wherever he can. He’s not terribly hard to convince to lend a hand.
Long-term goals? Feeling involved or useful; Ratchet hasn’t had the best luck being able to feel like he really belongs, so I guess... To find a purpose. To feel useful. He very recently found out that his home planet (which he thought was destroyed) is actually still there. This recontextualizes a lot of his previous beliefs and might even make going home via whatever comes after the Ingress an option.
It's something he's very deliberately not thinking about, and will probably continue not thinking about, so eventually having to confront that and the reality of 'what's next' is something I'm very interested in.
Specific CR requests? I know it's cliche, but I'm honestly up for anything. People who are better at him at engineering, people he can teach things to, fellow experimenters, kids to call 'pal', girls to crush on (it will come to nothing, don't worry, he's just really embarrassing), people who think he's a cat. The CR is your oyster, my friends.
