Who is this character? Mei-Ling Zhou (goes by Mei) | Overwatch
Tell us something about them. A climatologist from China, Mei was a researcher in Overwatch back in the day. She and her team of researchers cryogenically froze themselves in Antarctica when a polar storm kicked up and their radio tower was damaged so they couldn't radio for help. They assumed they would awaken after the storm and they could get resupplied as well, but Overwatch fell and everyone forgot about them. By the time they were rescued, everyone's cryo tube had failed and they were all dead except for Mei. Despite this, she continues her work to study the world's drastically changing climate to discover a cause and help save it.
How long have they been in the game? since December 2016 (beginning of Arc II)
Are they doing any kind of work around Avagi? She's researching in the library, going through the labs, and reprogramming bots for the greenery.
Short-term goals? Long-term goals? In the short term, I just want her to have new experiences. In the long term, I want her to keep searching for the reason the people who were on the station ended up leaving, as well as make deeper connections with people. I want her to want to go home, but at the same time, really wish she could stay with all the wonderful people she's met here.
Specific CR requests? I love all kinds of friendships and would love to focus on that. I'm open to Mei getting her flirt on because she really wouldn't be great at it and it could be embarrassing or cute! I'm good with handwaving first meetings if you want so we can get straight into plotty stuff. I tend to get bored with small talk and prefer to ask to wrap up threads instead.
