1. The details of a specific experience is left for the players to create, but pitfalls, traps, and mazes can all be reasonably assumed. Attackers will similarly vary, though Kaittan (or humanoid) people are unlikely. Monstrous animals, elemental dangers, or spirit/ghost attackers could all be faced within the Trial. Those with physical bodies will persist after death—and may be useful in other ways.

2. That would depend on the ability! A character capable of regenerative immortality from their own body would retain that ability. A character who was brought back by a force native to their world may find that no longer applies. More information would be needed to clarify Cayde's specific case.
