Patch Notes
From time to time we come across things to change about the game that aren't major issues, but still make for quality of life improvements to the game. Since we're a bunch of gamer nerds, we joked that they essentially function as patch notes...and then the joke became real! Here's what we have for this month:
- Navigation Update: The navigation page has been updated to include a link to the player plot page.
- Location Updates: A location updates page has been created and linked off the locations page. This will function as a longer-term version of the header on the last mod update: somewhere characters can list major changes as the game develops.
- FAQ Update: ...is imminent! While this particular update hasn't been accomplished yet, since we have a new batch of players, we wanted to note that we will shortly be doing a sweep of the FAQ to clear out remnants from Arc 2 that no longer apply and add new, relevant information.
Listkeeping
Our fantastic list mods have done a quick check, and found a few of our longer-term characters missing from the taken and ooc contact pages. If your character is listed below, please head to the appropriate link and comment!

Scarcity
Recently we've had some good questions about the specific level of scarcity and difficulty in scavenging resources on Avagi. To help keep everyone on the same page, we'd like to offer some guidelines.
Players may assume that various items were found left behind in the barter block or elsewhere in the available locations. In general, characters will easily find the things they need to ensure survival for the current time—food, water, clothing (with synthetic fabrics), etc. When it comes to things beyond what is required to meet basic needs, mechanical parts are the most common. Organic materials are largely rotted or destroyed and resources needed to create new materials are scarce. Items of convenience or luxury are almost entirely absent or regrettably spoiled (RIP the bar's wine collection that has gone to vinegar.) Overall, life in Avagi is not especially comfortable, but it is survivable for the moment.
Since there is some natural variety in the setting (some areas have a number of items left behind by those who lived here before; some have none) and because we can't keep track of every thread, we're trusting players with a level of discretion regarding what they opt to have characters find. That said, if you are ever not sure about whether finding a particular type of item is realistic, it is fine to ask!
We would also like to note that despite the mysterious "gifts" characters found last month, the amount of items that can be scavenged are finite. If characters make a point of gathering everything in reach, it will become difficult for them or others to turn up new items. Of course, available items and resources will also shift with the opening of world travel, which brings us to...
World Travel
Our first offworld post for Arc 3 should be up tomorrow! It has been pushed back one day due to an unexpected travel issue preventing the mods from coordinating. However, we wanted to give you an idea of what to expect from world travel going forward!
While the specific mechanism will not be under their control, characters will have the opportunity to travel to different worlds on a regular basis. Unlike Arc 2, worlds will not remain continually accessible by default, although there is the potential to return to worlds. And although moderator schedules did not allow for it this month, starting with the next world, we plan to have basic rundowns of what players can expect from a world at the beginning of the month. This will allow people to make some plans before a world travel log is posted.
Additionally, for those of you who were here for Arc 1, we will be trying out a similar schedule—one month for world travel, one month that focuses on Avagi-based plot. This is not a completely rigid schedule—it could vary based on metaplot reasons or submitted player plots, for example. Player feedback will also be taken into account. As always, we want to balance what is feasible on the mod team's end with what you all find most enjoyable!

And there is, of course, an epic and badass cliff that could be jumped off! To great cinematic effect.

More importantly, once a character has gone through, are they able to return whenever they want? Or is it a one-way trip until something specific happens?

so is this in the literal sense like, just what people are carrying on their person? are characters gonna need to walk in carrying all their shit in two hands to start with? or can a small child walk in with an armful of knives because they are technically using both hands to carry all those fucking knives
i am asking this because this is in fact a legitimate thing that this child would do and i am sorry

Use of arms, however, is entirely valid.

Also about the world:
- Would the people on Kaittos accept services and performs as lack of payment? Would J for an example be able to pay by singing and dancing for them? Other than that I was thinking if Juri were to hold not-so-serious duel/games for entertainment purposes. Would the locals be interested in that aspect of culture and art?
- What do they see as knowledge. Do information or stories about their lives and other places they've visited suffice? Or how smart they are, would characters be able to fool them to some of their items or tech collected from Avagi to be worth more than they are?

2. Are there any particularly interesting or unusual items present that can be bartered for? Additionally, what type of fruits or vegetables would be available? Would it be possible to get some of that addicting herb? (Just for funsies.)
3. Similarly, any available lessons that might stand out to a newcomer? Any understanding of technology they would be able to pass along? Are they familiar with magic?

1. Within the temple will there be food/water resources findable by participants during the Trial of Life?
2. Will those participating in the Trial of Life come across other teams or hear them in adjacent parts of the temple?
3. Is it possible to bring back plants/seeds to cultivate on Avagi to help provide better food sources (AC bonus seed pods excluded, of course)?

If so where would it be good to put such a summary?

Also a question that I keep forgetting to ask but have been meaning to forever, regarding abilities involving reviving from death. Since coming to Thisavrou does that mean this ability no longer works/is bent to whatever rules for dying in this place?
