Rules & Tallying

Any of the following counts consists of a single proof, and fulfills base activity requirements for a month:

• 5 comments from your character in a log
  
• 10 comments in a network thread
  
• 15 comments from an IC inbox thread
  
• 1 open network post, log post, or open starter in an event log

Under Thisavrou's system, the mods use the AC Savior program to tally up the comment counts in both comms. By entering it into a spreadsheet, we can calculate quickly how many proofs each character has, and convert it to bonus AC as applicable. That said, the app is tailored for DWRP at large, not our game, and has difficulty counting IC inboxes, starters, and posts in a way that matches our requirements.

This is where you come in! If you have uncounted activity you want to be applied to your character, please comment to the Extra Activity header with the necessary proofs. This is required of those on the check-in list, but optional for others (if they believe their untallied activity would place them in a higher bonus category). To reiterate: characters on the check-in list are required to comment with either activity or a strike request, or they will be auto-dropped from the game.

While accurate for what it does count, the program only searches so far, and entry errors can occur on the mod side. If you think your character has been incorrectly listed, absolutely don't hesitate to let us know.

If attempting your own tallies, please keep in mind:

• Tags must be OOCly from the month AC pertains to. Backtags are fine.
  
• No double-counting is allowed. Players may count either a single proof from an open starter or post, or the value of however many tags the threads include.
  
• If a hiatus is between 1-2 weeks, AC requirements are halved. If the hiatus is more than 2 weeks, AC requirements are waived completely. Whether hiatused or not, all players are required to check the lists, and comment if they are on the check-in list.
  
• New characters are not subject to the activity check posted during the month they arrive.

Lists and Bonus

For each three additional proofs (up to a maximum of nine), characters are granted an option for a bonus reward. This results in three levels of reward options in addition to base AC. Below is the list of characters qualifying—by our app-aided tally—for each level of bonus reward.

Players of characters on the check-in list are required to comment below or have their characters auto-dropped in seven days. Players wanting to add uncounted AC or who feel a count was in error are also welcome! This month, bonus activity will be eligible for the following rewards:

First (3 proofs):

Leftovers from a long-ago vacation? Protective gear designed for laser use? Wherever you found your pair, these strongly tintedglasses might come in handy as the local light conditions build... and build. These items can be found in a variety of shapes and colors.

Second (6 proofs):

In the flurry of teleportation mishaps, more than people have been displaced. An unusual vintage from the bar turned up near your belongings. Specific to your species' dietary needs, imbibing this liquid will result in a period of intense euphoria—followed by an 18 hour nap. Emergency sedative, or party trick? You decide.

Third (9 proofs):

Between the contaminated air and the limited supplies, survival tools have been at a premium. Fortunately, the suit you turned up should help you cope with nearly any hazards—for a time. This sealed envirosuit is functional in space or on hostile environments, and features a recycling system that can reduce temperature, oxygen, and even water needs to absolute minimums.

Please note: the reward system operates on a choose one basis. A player whose character qualifies for reward level three may select their reward from any of the above options, but no character should receive multiple rewards. This is to prevent IC wealth buildups for OOC reasons, and to allow us to offer more interesting options without skewing game opportunities toward the most active tier.

As we were late in processing, you would be welcome to provide other activity if you have it, or else request a strike for Hunk this round. That said, if you're aware of future travel plans spanning an entire AC period, we would strongly suggest reaching out in advance—either to the modteam or to another player who could comment in your stead.

This activity was made OOClyt in the month of February -- I believe DW uses the UTC time zone by default, which is several hours ahead of my OOC time in the Pacific Time zone! So while some of this was tagged when I got back from my trip in March, the majority of it actually happened on the last day of February.

Thisavrou has always operated on EST time: GMT-5. The earliest tag on this post from Hunk falls after that deadline, so he would be required to take a strike if you have no other links.
