mod update 8;

Hello Savrites!

Starting off, we want to ask that if anyone contacts us and we don't respond within a few days, to poke us again. Notifs get lost and things get missed, but we never mean to not answer.

To note:

Please read over this mod update as it is extremely important to us and something we take very seriously.

We want to remind everyone that if you have any player plots, suggestions, or questions, that you can direct them over to the feedback page. The FAQ is also a good resource, and questions can be asked there. Also, the locations page has a wealth of information that we encourage players to use.

The Three Rs:

Restore | Resurge | Refresh

The restore page is for anyone that wants to get their characters upgrades. The Resurge page is used when a player plans to have their character die. All deaths must be applied for on this page. The Refresh page is when you want to canon update. More information can be found on each page.

There is also a punishment system linked on the Resurge page for any character that kills another character.

New and Updated Pages:

Respond to or look at these pages at your leisure: Cargo Bay Inventory | Permissions Post | Kitchen/Mess Hall Duties

If you are interested in having a room for your character to do their jobs, a work space or something else, just contact the mods with what you'd like to do. It will look like the player pages above, so we'd need the pictures and information from you for your character.

Housekeeping:

If you have not responded to any of the pages (taken, barracks, OOC contact, etc.), please do so. We've switched a few pages and had a mix-up in the acceptance notice html, so we apologize for any confusion. Check this page for your character tag and please use them.

Don't forget to do the activity check.

Intro Log Information:

The intro log for March is now up over here and if you have any questions, please drop them below.

Have a great week guys!!!

I apologize, since this promises to be the first of many annoying Force-related questions, but:

Would the creatures on Ceta have any particular "signature" in the Force? Or would they just register as your garden-variety life form? (Also, would there be any way to tell if they're intelligent or not via the Force?)

You are denied asking any Force-related questions in the future!! (Just kidding, we don't mind questions.)

The creatures themselves would most likely register as a normal life form with the occasional strange signature if they happen to get too close to the temporaries. And it is okay to assume that the Force would indeed indicate that the creatures are far more intelligent than the visitors/hunters are claiming. They are very curious, which is why they poke around the temporaries rather often, and the pods that they travel in consist of close family. Feel free to use this information any way that you like!

I hate to hijack this question, but it's actually related to MY question, which is "do they have souls?"

Also, prepare to be asked this question for just about every living thing unless I'm given "assume otherwise" rights because 'souls' might as well be the 'Force' topic of Eva I guess

That's fine! I mean, it's not so much a 'personal opinion' issue as I wish it were for Evangelion (souls are a literal thing and the metaphysical laws about them form a core part of Evangelion's story), but I'll assume it applies in this case.

Intelligence itself has literally zero bearing on the presence of the soul, but in this particular case, the implications about their intelligence work well enough.

Or I'm going to say it does because otherwise I haven't got much of a leg to stand on.

(Why would you ask Kaworu to make his own decisions about anything, his answer is always 'self-sacrifice solves everything!')
