ABOARD THE MOIRA
Whether adjusting to space travel has been difficult or not, there is always something to be done. From working to leisure, the Moira offers a multitude of opportunities to get to know your crewmates a bit better. Exploration of the ship is highly encouraged, but as another planet grows closer to being docked, things start to get a little hectic. You'll notice a slight change in the artificial gravity as the Moira is pulled into a gravitational field; however, more noticeable changes can be found in the overall morale as you prepare to descend.

☄ on your own
There are plenty of other communal areas on the ship to explore! Pick a place, and see where it takes you. ( These scenarios can be used as in-game canon. )

☄ round 'em up
The day begins normally. You check out the mess hall and report to your assigned job, and so far, nothing seems incredibly out of place. However, as the hours pass, you begin to notice something strange scurrying along wall edges and into open vents. For the most part, these rodents are harmless—in this stage. While they may get into the food supply in the Cargo Bay or terrorize those in the kitchen, they are not violent and appear to be skittish. However, once they've "matured" - the color of their tail will have changed from a light gray to a very dark purple, prompting them to enter a temporary stasis inside a cocoon - they aren't so cute anymore. These paklers are vicious, will bite if they're caught, and defend themselves with claws as well as the protrusions on their bodies. There is nothing to be done about them except capture them and eject them into space as they are considered a pest and very harmful to the crew and the ship. Once they run out of food, they will turn on each other as well as anything resembling a living creature. The captains provide the proper equipment, electric nets as well as tranquilizers, to assist with the capture of the paklers and their immediate removal from the Moira.

☄ what's yours is mine
Something seems a bit off about the laundry delivery service these days, doesn't it? Has the Moira always had one of those? Whether you realize it immediately or not, something is very wrong about the clothes that have suddenly appeared in your wardrobe. They are either much too big or far too small, and as far as you can tell, there seems to be no happy medium in all of this. Will you Dress To Impress in your new uniforms? Will you swap with someone who might be a similar size regardless of the fact their uniform colors are not the same as your own? Or will you simply walk naked through the halls of the ship, carefree and bare to the rest of your crewmates?

☄ n'sync
While exploring the ship, first down one hall and then another, you come across a strange door you've never seen before. When you pull it open, you'll find someone, a crew member, standing on the other side, hand outstretched as if they've just opened that door from the opposite side. Every move you make, they mirror, and if they shift to the left or right, you also shift left or right. Absolutely everything the both of you do is the same except for the words that come out of your mouth; somehow, you still manage to maintain the ability to talk without mimicking your partner. You're unable to completely control your movements again until someone says "in sync". Good luck figuring out the magic words, and if you decide to question the captains (or anyone else) about it, they won't have any idea what it is you're talking about.

[Unfortunately for Riptide he is directly in the path of a certain cranky Decepticon zealot.

Spotting Riptide on the observation deck as he passes, Tarn quickly identifies him as a Cybertronian, therefore someone who he can easily needle for useful information using a deadly reputation. Approaching from behind, he clears his throat, glaring murderously down at the mech who is otherwise distracted. His shoulders are squared and he stands tall to tower over Riptide.]

Where is Megatron?

[He knows that his defected leader is on board and he's on a mission for answers.]

[personal profile] knaval 2016-03-08 09:58 am (UTC)(link)
Why would I kno-- [he started answering before even looking up, smart guy riptide is.

his brain catches up with his optics. to his credit, he doesn't actually scream (maybe part of him was worried about provoking tarn), but there is a very clear noise of some gears suddenly grinding against each other. riptide has only felt terror like this maybe one or two times in his life. today makes the third.

as tarn probably expected, just by his presence, riptide is pretty much frozen both in pure terror and just complete uncertainty of what to do next. maybe he should just accept his imminent, exceptionally painful death. should he tell tarn megatron is usually in the cargo bay? would that minimise collateral? who is he kidding, the djd leader is on board and his team probably aren't far behind. they're all fucked anyway.

and he never even got to see back to the future 2.]

[Tarn continues to stare expectantly down at Riptide, but before long it becomes clear that he doesn't intend to finish the sentence. Loathe as he is to admit, occasionally his reputation can prove something of a hinderance. Typically Tarn would find his terror amusing, but today it's just in the way.]

I see that my reputation proceeds me.

[Glancing down at Riptide's chassis his optics are caught by the bright red smear of an Autobrand.]

What's your designation, Autobot?
knaval: (and see)

[personal profile] knaval 2016-03-08 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Uhh...

[riptide shrinks back a little. there are little lightstrand bubbles forming at the corners of his optics.]

Rip... Riptide...

[this is torture. this must be psychological torture.]

[personal profile] sparkwhisperer 2016-03-08 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Riptide.

[Tarn purrs his name, ignoring the bits of light beginning to stream from his optics.]

Wonderful. Obviously you know who I am, so there's really no need for introductions.

[Tarn takes a seat next to him, slinging an arm across the poor mech's shoulders to keep him from running.]

Now, Riptide. [His tone is downright affable.] Surely telling me what I need to know would be the most innocuous solution, wouldn't you say?
knaval: (all eyes turned in)

[personal profile] knaval 2016-03-09 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[oh good, tarn will be able to feel riptide practically vibrating. a little whine escapes him when the gigantic decepticon says his name. is he doing the voice thing or is that just psychological? riptide feels like his spark is going to explode regardless.

riptide keeps his optics forward, looking at anything but tarn.]
I-- y... yes?

[personal profile] sparkwhisperer 2016-03-10 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
Smart lad. [Tarn doesn't let go. His fingers may have even tightened their grip to adjust to Riptide's quivering frame, but only ever so slightly.

He leans in close enough that the slightest whisp of air brushes Riptides audio receptor through the mask,]

Now, I'll ask again. Where is Megatron? [If he wasn't using his vocal talent before, he sure as hell is now. As he lowers his voice his hold tightens, squeezing the miserable Autobot's spark like a vice.]
knaval: (ruining the play)

[personal profile] knaval 2016-03-10 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
He's-- [riptide is cut off by the sudden pain deep in his chest. there it is. now tarn's doing the thing. he bites his lower lip hard and squeezes his optics shut for a moment, trying to ignore the light strands that are now freely flowing down his face.

vaguely, riptide wonders why no-one else in the observation deck is taking any notice of this.

he re-powers his optics, still refusing to look at tarn. right now, he physically can't. he feels like he's going to puke, and if his face is pointed towards tarn when that happens...]

Cargo bay. Us-- usually.

[maybe he can ping magnus and tell him to not go near the cargo bay for a while. pretend there's an emergency on the wings. or not, seeing as riptide is pretty sure he won't be surviving this encounter.]

[personal profile] sparkwhisperer 2016-03-11 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
[Tarn grabs Riptide by the chin, forcing him to look up into his eyes. His claws leave deep scratches as they dig cruelly into the soft dermal plating of his face.

Almost tenderly, one of Tarn's razor sharp claws comes up to mimic wiping away Riptide's tears]

Now that wasn't so hard, was it? Honestly, I'm not sure why you Autobots put up so much of a fuss when asked a simple question.
knaval: (look out)

[personal profile] knaval 2016-03-11 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
[he resists a little, but not for long. tarn is far, far stronger than riptide will ever be.

actually facing the shitbeast, riptide's yellow optics go so wide they start to go white around the edges. they might literally pop out of his head without tarn even needing to do anything. he winces when tarn's claws dig into his face, energon beading down his cheeks.

unfortunately, tarn's grip is too hard. all he can really do is stare up pathetically at tarn, yellow light strands mixing with the pink streaks on his face.]
sparkwhisperer: (pic#10088726)

[personal profile] sparkwhisperer 2016-03-14 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
[Tarn really only finds Riptide's weak reistance amusing, smirking smugly behind his mask.]

Come now, don't cry; tears aren't very becoming on you. Besides, Riptide, I'm not going to hurt you, especially after you've been so helpful to me.

[Tarn gives Riptide's face a final squeeze before releasing him.]

At least not right now.
knaval: (in the ensuing)

[personal profile] knaval 2016-03-14 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[i can't help it, idiot, a very small thought in the back of riptide's head says. he keeps thinking of the duplicate lost light, all the energon everywhere, the viscera.

tarn lets go.

riptide thinks a little bit too hard about how terrifying tarn is.

tarn implies he'll come back for riptide later.

riptide gasps, then empties the contents of his tanks all over tarn's feet.]
sparkwhisperer: (Default)

[personal profile] sparkwhisperer 2016-03-22 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
[Tarn huffs a dramatic long-suffering sigh as Riptide purges his tanks all over his feet.

It's not the first time it's happened and certainly won't be the last, but it doesn't make it any less repulsive.]

Honestly, how wasteful. Hasn't anyone told you that there's an energon shortage on this ship? [He tries to kick some of the half processed fuel off of his foot. He's going to have to take a rag to it.]

knaval: (just the shoreline)

[personal profile] knaval 2016-03-22 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh...

[guess who can't believe he just puked on tarn and is still alive? this guy! riptide awkwardly raises a shaky hand to his mouth but stops half away.]

Uh. Sorry?

[is that... the right thing to say... riptide doesn't know what to do or say. obviously the best option is to stop existing near tarn, but that isn't doable right now. he feels very tired all of a sudden.]
sparkwhisperer: (Default)

[personal profile] sparkwhisperer 2016-03-26 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure you are.

[Tarn looks unimpressed by Riptide's awkward apology]

But, Finding a rag and cleaning it off would go quite far in attempting to atone for your mistake.

[He stares expectantly at Boaty McBoatface.]
knaval: (to step off that set)

[personal profile] knaval 2016-03-26 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
[a lot of thoughts fly through riptide's head, but the most prevalent one is:] I-- no?

[as usual, his mouth works before his brain but... he's not doing that. his limbs feel heavy and his joints are aching just from pure terror alone. does tarn expect him to hop up and skip away to find a cloth?]
sparkwhisperer: (pic#10088726)

[personal profile] sparkwhisperer 2016-03-26 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
No? [Oh how interesting this is turning out to be.

Tarn reaches out to clap a hand on Riptide's shoulder, claws gouging paint and leaving deep indents.]

Perhaps you would like to rethink that decision. Unless you need more motivation? [He's going to let Riptide's imagination fill in the blanks there.]
knaval: (for me)

[personal profile] knaval 2016-03-26 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
[this is such a bizarre situation. riptide wonders if tarn did him in with his voice magic earlier and this is just some fucked up afterlife.

he winces when the claws dig in. riptide does not have the right words to deal with this. he's barely getting any words at all.]

That would... uh. Be in the cargo bay. Supplies. [he says, after squeezing his optics shut again and nodding vigorously.

because honestly, tarn, why don't you go see megatron covered in puke?]
sparkwhisperer: (Default)

[personal profile] sparkwhisperer 2016-03-26 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Go. [Tarn shoves Riptide off of the bench.] If youre not back within a reasonable amount of time with a rag, I will be forced to come looking for you.

[The DJD Commander stands to his full height, towering over Riptide's prone frame]

And I can assure you that if you think I'm in a sour mood now, you have no idea what will be in store for you if I have to wander the ship searching for you, smearing your disgusting purged energon all over the floor.

It's unsanitary.
knaval: (look out)

[personal profile] knaval 2016-03-26 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[he's shoved backwards, landing on his ass. riptide nods rapidly, raising his arm to shield his face briefly. let's be honest, it's tarn, he's surprised he's just getting off with some scratches.

...very, very deep scratches.]

Very. Uh. I'll-- I won't be long.

[he feels like he's going to throw up again. it's only by some miracle his legs actually stand up when he wants them to, but he's clearly shaky on his feet. maybe if he's lucky he won't pass out before he gets back.]
sparkwhisperer: (Default)

[personal profile] sparkwhisperer 2016-03-27 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
[Tarn dismisses him with a wave of his hand, clearly done with his stuttering. He's rather just get this taken care of before it starts to dry.

It's bad enough that it's already seeped into all of the mechanisms and seams on his foot. It's going to take ages to get all of it cleaned out.]

You had better not be. Oh, and do tell Megatron that I'm looking for him, will you? [He may as well attempt to kill two birds with one stone, as they say]
knaval: (there might be)

[personal profile] knaval 2016-03-28 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
[god damn it tarn are you not used to people tripping over themselves with terror around you? riptide will stutter and sob all he pleases. maybe he'll puke again just to top it off.

...he won't, because there's nothing left, but he would. riptide is unbelievably thankful tarn is allowing him to pass on the message. at least maybe he can tell everyone else to run.

unless tarn is going to shoot him in the back. riptide kinda hopes that isn't the case.]

Just... that you're waiting up here?
sparkwhisperer: (Default)

[personal profile] sparkwhisperer 2016-03-29 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
[Tarn rolls his eyes. Riptide certainly is a dense fellow, isn't he?]

I wasn't intending to provide you with a script, but yes, that would be fine.

[Taking a step toward Riptide, he attempts to get him moving in the correct direction instead of standing uselessly as his knees knocked together in fear.]

Now, unless you have something else you would like to say to me, I would suggest that you go
