ABOARD THE MOIRA
Whether adjusting to space travel has been difficult or not, there is always something to be done. From working to leisure, the Moira offers a multitude of opportunities to get to know your crewmates a bit better. Exploration of the ship is highly encouraged, but as another planet grows closer to being docked, things start to get a little hectic. You'll notice a slight change in the artificial gravity as the Moira is pulled into a gravitational field; however, more noticeable changes can be found in the overall morale as you prepare to descend.

☄ on your own
There are plenty of other communal areas on the ship to explore! Pick a place, and see where it takes you. ( These scenarios can be used as in-game canon. )

☄ round 'em up
The day begins normally. You check out the mess hall and report to your assigned job, and so far, nothing seems incredibly out of place. However, as the hours pass, you begin to notice something strange scurrying along wall edges and into open vents. For the most part, these rodents are harmless—in this stage. While they may get into the food supply in the Cargo Bay or terrorize those in the kitchen, they are not violent and appear to be skittish. However, once they've "matured" - the color of their tail will have changed from a light gray to a very dark purple, prompting them to enter a temporary stasis inside a cocoon - they aren't so cute anymore. These paklers are vicious, will bite if they're caught, and defend themselves with claws as well as the protrusions on their bodies. There is nothing to be done about them except capture them and eject them into space as they are considered a pest and very harmful to the crew and the ship. Once they run out of food, they will turn on each other as well as anything resembling a living creature. The captains provide the proper equipment, electric nets as well as tranquilizers, to assist with the capture of the paklers and their immediate removal from the Moira.

☄ what's yours is mine
Something seems a bit off about the laundry delivery service these days, doesn't it? Has the Moira always had one of those? Whether you realize it immediately or not, something is very wrong about the clothes that have suddenly appeared in your wardrobe. They are either much too big or far too small, and as far as you can tell, there seems to be no happy medium in all of this. Will you Dress To Impress in your new uniforms? Will you swap with someone who might be a similar size regardless of the fact their uniform colors are not the same as your own? Or will you simply walk naked through the halls of the ship, carefree and bare to the rest of your crewmates?

☄ n'sync
While exploring the ship, first down one hall and then another, you come across a strange door you've never seen before. When you pull it open, you'll find someone, a crew member, standing on the other side, hand outstretched as if they've just opened that door from the opposite side. Every move you make, they mirror, and if they shift to the left or right, you also shift left or right. Absolutely everything the both of you do is the same except for the words that come out of your mouth; somehow, you still manage to maintain the ability to talk without mimicking your partner. You're unable to completely control your movements again until someone says "in sync". Good luck figuring out the magic words, and if you decide to question the captains (or anyone else) about it, they won't have any idea what it is you're talking about.

[She nods.] Thán, Cúrre, and Manasseh.

[There's something different about Light - he's perceptive but much calmer than most of the new arrivals. Normally Wanda tries not to frighten them right away with the sometimes-awful truth (unless she knows they can handle it; sorry, Natasha). But after a moment of consideration, Wanda sighs.]

You should sit down. It's not a nice story.

[He's still new, though, so he's getting the sanitized version. The real story is extremely not nice, but he'll have to earn it.]

[ Nothing really registers on the outside to speak of what Light's thinking, but he does hesitate to match what she mentioned. After all, he has to act like it's not nice but then she doesn't know she's talking to Kira.

I got her.

She's comfortable now which means she responds well to intelligence and not the typical everyday guy I usually have to be. As long as I can keep her talking it doesn't matter. I have a place to start and three very important names to go off of.

I don't want to make too many assumptions with so many unknown factors, but this should go smoothly.

I can handle it. I've done a few cases with my father. He works with the Japanese police.

[ Even so there are plenty of tables in the mess hall not being used. Out of courtesy, and just ingrained manners, he waits her to sit before he takes the seat on the opposite side of the table to face her. ]

So what's the story?

[Comfortable? Oh you sweet summer child...you have no idea how much she's really hiding. This is closer to a public service than an act of confidence.]

It's not that kind of bad.

You've seen dead bodies, yes? Imagine one in our uniform, but ripped and old. It could move faster than you can see and it ate energy. Any energy - the power, life...

It might have been why the old crew left. Someone locked it away...and something woke it up.

[ Let him have hope. Regardless of why's she's doing it she's still talking to him. ]

Are you trying to tell me this is some kind of ghost story?

[ It sounds like it. Look he's seen shinigami but. . .he'll have to try and wrap his head around energy-eating monsters. No, they're probably aliens. Let's not get caught up in the supernatural just because they're all in the future. ]

Something like the appearance of the very first people brought here to this ship?

[Well, he's clearly not from her Earth or he'd realize what he's sitting across the table from and take her more seriously.]

Ghost stories don't kill people.

We had only been here three, maybe four months. It wasn't one of this crew.

[ Sorry Wanda. She isn't the only big bad in the universe and there are loads of other factors to consider. Withholding information doesn't lend itself to the other person believing anything that's being said.

But she's still being helpful. She's a part of the original group that showed up and they have another murderer on board. ]

. . .Great so we're stuck on a foreign spaceship with a murderer that's still on the loose. Why do I get the feeling this isn't the worst part?

That one is locked up now. But the others, the murderers among this crew...no.

[She can't hide the bitterness in her voice. It doesn't take a genius to assume someone Wanda cared about was one of the victims. She's biding her time but definitely not happy about it.]

I told you, these are not nice stories.

[ If he had the Death Note--no. Too few variables to play with in a ship with a mostly fixed crew versus the ever changing population of Japan. It wouldn't look good on him if he just appeared and started passing judgement again, now would it?

His motivations aside, he has to take into consideration the ship itself isn't safe. Murderers being allowed to stay must mean most of the victims were crimes of passion or personal grudges. Acts of anger. Isolated incidents. Otherwise she'd show a little more concern, maybe even warn him, if serial murders were happening. For now he only has to take minimal measures to protect himself and work through other methods as he finds out more information. ]

No, I should be apologizing. I didn't mean to cause you more grief than you've already experienced. [ He rubbed the back of his neck, sighing. ] If they're letting murderers on board I guess it's safe to assume whoever, or whatever, brings people in isn't picky.

[ Light offered a kinder smile, one of understanding. ] I don't want to press you, but I just have a few more questions if you're up for it.
