ABOARD THE MOIRA
Whether adjusting to space travel has been difficult or not, there is always something to be done. From working to leisure, the Moira offers a multitude of opportunities to get to know your crewmates a bit better. Exploration of the ship is highly encouraged, but as another planet grows closer to being docked, things start to get a little hectic. You'll notice a slight change in the artificial gravity as the Moira is pulled into a gravitational field; however, more noticeable changes can be found in the overall morale as you prepare to descend.

☄ on your own

There are plenty of other communal areas on the ship to explore! Pick a place, and see where it takes you. ( These scenarios can be used as in-game canon. )

C R O M I A

While exhibits or museums exist to commemorate people or objects, planets like this are designed as a memoriam for certain eras across the universe. Welcome to Cromia—a one-of-a-kind place set in medieval times. Sort of. Most technology on Cromia isn’t particularly advanced, and the fashion leaves little to be desired. However, one thing is very noticeable about this planet once you decide to explore: there are no organic people anywhere to be found. Cromia is inhabited by a race of intelligent, humanoid robots who tend to and care for the environment as well as live peacefully with one another. Yet, some have been programmed to show a certain disdain for those who are, in some way, living, and their hostility ranges between hurling insults and vegetables to reporting trespassers to the authorities. Besides that, all seems well and prosperous on Cromia.

☄ the emperor’s new servos
The Royal Family of Cromia has extended an invitation to join them for festivities, food, and drink beginning when the first sun sets. This night is a way to relax and perhaps romance that special someone in your life with a little song and dance. For those who sample certain drinks, they might find themselves doing just that without being able to help themselves. Or perhaps that delicious wine you've heard so much about is actually a very oily concoction meant for the robots of Cromia. For others, a little cheese or venison might instill the need for fisticuffs. Could the desserts hold the same sort of enchantment? Do you dare to find out?

☄ catch-a-riiiide
The fastest way to get around is via carriage in the city, and each city is pulled by a large insectoid cyborg. Their handlers assure you they’re quite tame, especially since their silly organic minds have been implanted with a control chip. They’ll take you to whatever destination you program in without a hiccup! What could go wrong? Except on the way, that ever-so-important control chip happens to malfunction. Your once docile bug-stallion is now running amok down the streets. Do you jump out before you meet a sticky end? Or do you take control and force it to stop? Either way, you aren’t likely to be getting your deposit back from this.

☄ taste the rainbow
Archery. Bugback riding. Jousting. These are the typical leisure activities suiting the time period you now find yourself in, which is what you might assume when you see the banners denoting a competition. Anyone can enter. Anyone can win the prizes. When you ask what sport you’ll have to play, they just say one word: skittles. Similar to bowling, this sport is played on a long, flattened field, and the point of it is to use the wooden ball to knock over the "skittles" that are set up in increasingly complex patterns for each round. These skittles are also made of wood, exactly ten feet high each, and the balls used vary from the size of a golf ball to a canon ball (dealer’s choice on ball size). People are usually split into teams, but for the sake of the competition, everyone plays alone. Whoever gets the most points moves forward in the competition, and hope that there are no accidents mid-throw!

Levi | Attack on Titan

[personal profile] freiheiten 2016-04-12 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Walls of Nothingness

[If someone told him that not only would he leave those god forsaken walls and fly into space, he would have called them insane. To think that humans could ever get to space when he had never even seen an ocean before, that was crazy. He stands there on the observation deck. His arms over his chest as he stares into the abyss of black and blinking stars. When was the last time he actually looked back up at the stars? It had been so long ago.

A short huff of disdain leaves him as he still stares. It shouldn't be him here, there were many others more deserving to leave that hell that they called home. He belonged there. He knew how that world worked down to very last detail, and he didn't mind it one bit. Even if he just saw horrors that not even Titans could install, he would quickly go back to that if it meant others were safe. He didn't mind being the one with blood on his hands, or being the one to fight for survival. He was use to it and he knew he was good at it.

Even if he didn't deserve this, a part of him was still thankful for the peace and calm that came with this ship. He didn't know how long it would last until he was ripped from it, but he would enjoy every second of it. His arms unfold, and a hand comes to touch the cool glass.]

....Not bad.

[His fingers leave bloody prints. It wasn't his blood though, the only part of him that was still bleeding was his cheek from his fight with the Military Police. His eyes narrow at his bloody reflection and then at the smudges of finger prints, grime, and blood his hands leaves on the glass. There he went again...ruining something beautiful.]

Tch....where the hell is a towel...?

All Aboard: Mess Hall

[What...is all of this?

Levi just stands there in front of a food dispenser. He had just come from the med bay, he hadn't even changed out of his military uniform yet. People are passing around him as he gazes with his jaw slightly agap in disbelief. He has never seen so much food in one place-- so much different types of food. He wasn't even sure what most of there were.

There were too many choices, and the pictures didn't help when he had no idea what they were to begin with. He wasn't even sure how the get the food out...]

Where the hell is just the bread?

[Bread. Yes. Bread was safe. They have to have bread. He could live off of that until he had a better idea of what the hell was going on. Eventually he finds the bread, that and water is all he takes with him towards the table. What an odd sight...

Someone help this poor man before he starves.]

Veggie Tales

[Odd to say, this was very familiar to his home behind the walls. The houses, the technology, the closed minded belief system. it was all very similar. Well...except for the whole everyone-is-a-robot thing. He still wasn't even sure how that was possible or what evening a robot even meant. Things like that weren't even figures of fiction in his world.

He kept his hood up, to try and blend in but mostly it was to keep other know that he was staring. It was hard not too. Unlucky for him though, he was found out. His eyes caught a rather large local, the inorganic man towered over him as he stood in his path. Levi didn't seem all too concerned though.]

What are you staring at, organic?

[He could hear gears grinding. How odd. He only heard that sound when his 3D gear needed to be oiled.]

Your rusted up face. Can't you tell?

[....Maybe not the best thing to say. The next thing he knew the rusted man moved to jab something in his face, but Levi was much quicker than he was. The same can't be said for the poor person that was just passing by him. They just got a face full of rotting something. Sorry fellow crew mate....]

Mess Hall

[personal profile] disarmin 2016-04-12 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
[When Armin searches the mess for a familiar face, his squad leader's isn't exactly the one he's hoping to find. Of course his respect for Levi has done nothing but grow in the time he's worked for him, and the time he's been away. But if he had to see someone scowling, he would have liked for it to have been Eren or Jean. Levi would probably understand. Still, he slides down next to Levi with his tray of food - noticeably stocked with fa more variety than Levi's.]

Here, take some of this. It's protein. Bird meat of some kind.

[Armin forks over a small breast of white meat.]

Sir. [He acknowledges with a small nod. Armin looks different than the last time Levi would have seen him - around a year older, hair grown out and pulled back neatly.] I think we may be the only ones from our world here. I've been looking.

((ooc: Armin is from a CRAU. :> ))

[personal profile] freiheiten 2016-04-12 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[The feeling was mutal. While he was glad to see Armin was safe, he would have rather had Hange or Erwin beside him. He can tell almost immediately from his demeanor that this wasn't the same Armin he left back home. He knew that after what happened with the confrontation between the squad and Kenny's that there would be some changes-- especially in Armin's case. This was different though.

Levi's eyes narrowed, first at the mysterious bird meat and then at Armin.]

You're older.

[He stated the obvious as he stared at his hair in the small pony tail. But it wasn't just that, he wasn't in a panic nor was he searching wildly for the rest of his squad mates as if his life depended on it. That and the fact that he knew what this food odd food was, something happened somewhere.]

Have you been here long? [He picked up his fork and knife and cut into the meat. At least it smelled good.]

disarmin: (i am going to need so much therapy.)

[personal profile] disarmin 2016-04-12 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Not here, sir. But I've been gone from our world ten months. I was in... another place. [Armin hadn't thought Eos was so bad, coming from where he had. He thought he maybe even deserved it after dirtying his hands. But now with the benefit of hindsight he is horrified at what he's done, who he was there.] A bad place, in a lot of ways.

[Armin takes an overly long time to chew on some bit of vegetable matter and swallow. Time was that he would have been beyond excited to sample something new, but it all sort of tastes like rubber to him right now. It's strange how the most luxurious experiences can become commonplace. It can even become a symbol of oppression.]

As you have already seen, there is the possibility of many other worlds. Apparently some of these worlds trap people from other places and times. You can imagine our world and its progression is here. Where I came from is here. [Armin traces his hand along the edge of the table, and then he draws an imaginary line upward toward the center, a long one.] And maybe you've come from here.

[Armin starts another, shorter line. In spite of his relatively calm words, his hands shake a little.] Now I've been taken from this place, over here. [And he brings the hand indicating his line over to Levi's.] I only just arrived here, but if it's anywhere like where I came from, they'll do whatever they can to make us think we want to stay. And keep us from leaving.

[personal profile] freiheiten 2016-04-12 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Ten months?

[He wondered just how bad that place could have been. He honestly didn't think it could have been as bad as their home world. He was about to ask 'how?', but Armin answered before he could. He stared at his fingers and the invisible lines he drew on the table.

Weird.

He took a bite out of the bird meat. He was relieved to say that it tasted pretty good actually. He cut into it again as he pushed the bread to the side of the plate.]

You're saying that people from different points of our world's timeline can be here?

[He didn't really like the thought of that.] What if they're dead?
disarmin: (dead inside)

[personal profile] disarmin 2016-04-13 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. For instance, back in Eros... Where I was before... I came right after that day I shot that woman. And I was alone. [It's strange to say it aloud like that, like it's alright to talk about. Killed someone. Bad day. Just a thing that happened, among millions of other bad things. Time really has provided some perspective.] Four or five months later, Jean arrived, and he didn't remember anything after Trost. I also met Kenny Ackerman, and a tired-looking man who looked a lot like Historia. I think they must have had some connection, but I didn't know him. [A pause.] I guess I don't know what you know, yet. What you told me that day, about my hands being dirty and not being able to go back, I've had a lot of time to think about it.

[Armin takes another bite of food, not chewing on it so much as slowly musing over it. It becomes clear he's not actually going to say what conclusion he's come to.]

Do you recall that day?

[personal profile] freiheiten 2016-04-13 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
Kenny--

[Ackerman? Well...that was an unforseen turn of events. Even if he lived with Kenny for years, he never knew his last name. He wondered for a moment if that could be his last name too. But honestly that was something to talk about on another day.

He just gave Armin a nod as stared quietly now at his plate.]

Yeah, we just had that conversation.
disarmin: (*dakota fanning face*)

[personal profile] disarmin 2016-04-13 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Armin nods, and purposefully takes his time cutting and eating a piece of his meat.]

Like I said, it's been ten months for me. Nearly a year. I'm glad I don't have to update you.

[Armin never really talked to Jean about what their futures held. Couldn't bring himself to. Now all he can do is regret lying by omission to him.

He's known two lives and both are endlessly far away.]

I'm sure I don't have to tell you we can't trust their story. The ones who had me before - they brought people into their world for personal gain, to use them as slaves. After all, people who never existed in their world have no rights. No one misses them. No one cares what they have to say, and it means an exotic variety of toys to choose from...

[Armin is trembling again, so much he has to set his knife down.]

It'll be the same here. Think about it. It's not so unfamiliar, being out in the middle of nowhere knowing not a single soul gives a damn what happens to us.
freiheiten: (pic#10168762)

[personal profile] freiheiten 2016-04-13 11:26 am (UTC)(link)
[He could see Armin trembling as he spoke. Crap. He was not cut out for this comforting this. He wasn't even going to try and tell Armin he was wrong, because honestly he was thinking the same thing. This wasn't a military operation, it was way to fancy for that. He hadn't seen these captains yet, but he was starting to wonder if they were really anything special other than a rank they gave themselves.

He sighed heavily before he turned to Armin and took one of those trembling hands into his own.]

If you keep talking about it, they'll hear you.

[It was just like the underground again. Everyone here wanted something from you, but they didn't give a damn about you.]

And if they find out we know, then we're fucked.

[He truly had a way with words didn't he? He really wished Hange was here to make this easier on him.]

This isn't military, but you might have figured that out already. I doubt they have any real combat experience-- which is good for us.

[Good for a mutiny. Not even 24 hours here and he was already planning it.] Just keep your head down, don't let them know what you can really do. We'll get out of this, I'm not leaving you here, Armin.

disarmin: (wow.)

[personal profile] disarmin 2016-04-14 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
I know. Thank you. [Armin takes the offered hand. It surprises him that Levi attempts to comfort him like this. They're both in such unknown territory. Being a hostage here isn't what has him so upset, though. If that were the only truth to the matter, he could just try to remain calm and think of a plan.

He's trembling because it's over, not because he's afraid. It's relief and grief and the slow release of nearly a year's worth of tension. Armin really wants a cigarette - has to wonder if anyone around here even has them.]

That shouldn't be a problem. Most people had no idea I was a soldier unless I told them where I came from. I avoided talking to people about my life before, did things to make my captor happy, and honed my other skills.
freiheiten: (pic#10168776)

[personal profile] freiheiten 2016-04-14 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
Good. Keep it that way for awhile at least.

[The more the captains knew of their skills, the more likely they would be stuck here. He pulled his hands away from Armin's as he turned back to the table. He stared at the table. His fingers clutched the edge of the table and moved back to make trails in the left over crumbs from previous crew mates and dust. His eyes narrowed and he pulled his arms and hands off of the table completely as he wiped his hand clean on a napkin. Gross, didn't anyone clean around here?]

Exactly what happened in that world?

[This was getting just plain weird. Outer space, timelines, other worlds, weird food. He wondered just how much more was gonna happen to them, and how many more of the Scouting Legion was going to show up.
disarmin: (god i want a donut :()

gonna get into some uncomfortable subjects here :(

[personal profile] disarmin 2016-04-14 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
It was a brothel. I had to...

[Armin is shaking like a leaf in heavy rain now, his chest both taut and heavy. He presses his hand to his mouth, as if he could stop the poison of the truth from spilling out of there.

He doesn't have to go back there.

But he'll probably never see anyone he met there again. If Jean comes here, he might not remember. That's how all this business with timelines work.

The worst part is how much he wants to say it wasn't really all that bad. But what kind of person would think that? What kind of person would get used to such a situation, and adapt rather than fight? What a disgusting person he is.]

I - I can make a written report, sir, but I am afraid that is all I can speak of right now. I'm sorry. I'm afraid I didn't always conduct myself well as a member of your squad or a representative of the Scouting Legion. I was - cowardly.
freiheiten: (Default)

Oh armin :(

[personal profile] freiheiten 2016-04-14 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
[Well damn there goes his tact again. He shouldn't have asked, he can already feel Mikasa judging him from somewhere in the universe for making Armin more uncomfortable.

He didn't even react though when the brothel was mentioned. He didn't care about that. His mother had worked for one, and she had done the best she could for Levi. He wasn't about to judge Armin because of the situation he was in.]

There are plenty of times where I haven't followed the Scouting code, Armin.

[Especially now that they were criminals. Not like he was innocent before though. Life in the Underground left scars. He looked back to him as he took his cup in his hand, his fingers on the rim.]

You survived. That's what matters.
disarmin: (*fellowship of the rings theme plays*)

[personal profile] disarmin 2016-04-14 07:46 am (UTC)(link)
Yes sir.

[Armin replies softly, like he doesn't really believe it but doesn't know how to refute it. It's not so different than their last conversation.]

Unfortunately, I'm not certain how applicable my new skill-set will be. Perhaps if one of the captain likes blond boys.

[Armin chokes out a laugh.]
freiheiten: (pic#10168764)

[personal profile] freiheiten 2016-04-14 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[He heard that tone. He knew Armin didn't believe it and he probably felt terrible for the things he did, but that's just how it went. He has done things that he isn't necessarily proud of, but they made him stronger in the end.]

Take what happened and allow it to make you stronger, that's all you can do.

[But that last comment made an eyebrow raise. Did he really just cracked that joke? Was that even suppose to be a joke or was he serious? He almost couldn't tell.]

Right, but that isn't going to be our go to answer.
disarmin: (<_<)

[personal profile] disarmin 2016-04-15 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
[Armin shrugs. His self-esteem had hardly been at a high point when he first arrived to Eros, and now it's even worse. It may take him a long time unlearn the damaging idea that he's a sexual commodity, that his highest value is what he can accomplish in the most physical sense.] Yes sir.

[Armin lets the conversation drop for a little while, eating. Given the scarcity of food back home, he's never let his mood affect his appetite much.] If we find a way back, we should see if we can bring some of their medical equipment and weapons.
