ABOARD THE MOIRA
Whether adjusting to space travel has been difficult or not, there is always something to be done. From working to leisure, the Moira offers a multitude of opportunities to get to know your crewmates a bit better. Exploration of the ship is highly encouraged, but as another planet grows closer to being docked, things start to get a little hectic. You'll notice a slight change in the artificial gravity as the Moira is pulled into a gravitational field; however, more noticeable changes can be found in the overall morale as you prepare to descend.

☄ on your own

There are plenty of other communal areas on the ship to explore! Pick a place, and see where it takes you. ( These scenarios can be used as in-game canon. )

C R O M I A

While exhibits or museums exist to commemorate people or objects, planets like this are designed as a memoriam for certain eras across the universe. Welcome to Cromia—a one-of-a-kind place set in medieval times. Sort of. Most technology on Cromia isn’t particularly advanced, and the fashion leaves little to be desired. However, one thing is very noticeable about this planet once you decide to explore: there are no organic people anywhere to be found. Cromia is inhabited by a race of intelligent, humanoid robots who tend to and care for the environment as well as live peacefully with one another. Yet, some have been programmed to show a certain disdain for those who are, in some way, living, and their hostility ranges between hurling insults and vegetables to reporting trespassers to the authorities. Besides that, all seems well and prosperous on Cromia.

☄ the emperor’s new servos
The Royal Family of Cromia has extended an invitation to join them for festivities, food, and drink beginning when the first sun sets. This night is a way to relax and perhaps romance that special someone in your life with a little song and dance. For those who sample certain drinks, they might find themselves doing just that without being able to help themselves. Or perhaps that delicious wine you've heard so much about is actually a very oily concoction meant for the robots of Cromia. For others, a little cheese or venison might instill the need for fisticuffs. Could the desserts hold the same sort of enchantment? Do you dare to find out?

☄ catch-a-riiiide
The fastest way to get around is via carriage in the city, and each city is pulled by a large insectoid cyborg. Their handlers assure you they’re quite tame, especially since their silly organic minds have been implanted with a control chip. They’ll take you to whatever destination you program in without a hiccup! What could go wrong? Except on the way, that ever-so-important control chip happens to malfunction. Your once docile bug-stallion is now running amok down the streets. Do you jump out before you meet a sticky end? Or do you take control and force it to stop? Either way, you aren’t likely to be getting your deposit back from this.

☄ taste the rainbow
Archery. Bugback riding. Jousting. These are the typical leisure activities suiting the time period you now find yourself in, which is what you might assume when you see the banners denoting a competition. Anyone can enter. Anyone can win the prizes. When you ask what sport you’ll have to play, they just say one word: skittles. Similar to bowling, this sport is played on a long, flattened field, and the point of it is to use the wooden ball to knock over the "skittles" that are set up in increasingly complex patterns for each round. These skittles are also made of wood, exactly ten feet high each, and the balls used vary from the size of a golf ball to a canon ball (dealer’s choice on ball size). People are usually split into teams, but for the sake of the competition, everyone plays alone. Whoever gets the most points moves forward in the competition, and hope that there are no accidents mid-throw!

YOUR ALPHYS GIVES ME LIFE FAUGRH (bar)

[personal profile] skelepun 2016-04-15 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[Another day, another drink. Sans was enough of a regular here that he'd already designated his stool. Not too high, a little worn down, in a shady corner with his back to a wall where he could observe without surprises.

It's a nice stool. After a few glasses of ketchup, Sans can even forget how the wood grinds against his coccyx. All a guy could want in the world.

Except for this time, someone had it unfortunately occupied. Not really a big deal, except for the someone in question. Sans stops mid-step, eye sockets widening a hair as he looks at--]

Al?

[The shivering ball of yellow anxiety slows down, and momentarily goes still, following Sans' one-syllable utterance. Even her legs stop their vibrating. But she doesn't turn around, because she's obliged to debate with herself for a while first about whether she should turn around.

Well, she did see Papyrus earlier. And he did mention that Sans was here. This helps quash her hesitation, and finally, she glances over her shoulder.

...Sans?

[Sans blinks, once, twice, and then a third time. Being surprised is something he's still getting used to. The novelty of it is nice, if he's being perfectly honest. Not having the vague sense of being somewhere you've been a thousand times before, well, it adds some spice back to the mix.

Of course, too much spice can be a little overwhelming. The last time he saw Alphys, they were parting ways with the promise to find each other again when it was all over. Once Sans did what he had to do, if he was successful in stopping the child's reign of murder.

He remembers wondering, even then, if she believed he could. Sans certainly didn't.]

When did you get here? [Stupid question, and Sans retracts it.] ... Are you drinking?

[personal profile] ex_discomfort99 2016-04-15 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[It is Sans. He looks... well. Older. And as Alphys looks at him, there's something that really doesn't feel right. The last time she'd seen him was a couple months ago, when he'd dropped by the lab to say hi. Just one of his usual periodic visits to keep in touch and chit-chat. He hadn't been weird like this then, had he?]

N-No. [she stops. oh, right - the water.] Um, I mean, yes. I am. I'm going to.

[The glass of water on the bar is still full.

As silence threatens to fill in the next conversation beat, she fidgets in her seat again.
]

...I g-got here earlier. In that glowy room...

[Still feeling uprooted by the sight of such an old, complicated friend in a place like this, Sans takes one more beat before smoothing his expression into his usual mask. An easy smile and nothing more. There was no better armor in the world.]

Well, water you waiting for?

[Okay, maybe bad jokes did edge it out a little.

Sans shifted on the stool next to her, still somewhat incredulous as he looked at her. Yep. That was Alphys, no doubt about it. Between the two of them, they fulfilled the sweaty nerd stereotype quite nicely.

He wants to ask how she is, if everything was alright, if they got out okay even after Sans was cut down, but logic and experience squashes the desire before it can take root. There's no guarantee what timeline Alphys was pulled from. Luckily, he had a lot of practice being evasive.]

The Ingress. [He explains, shrugging.] I'll give you the full rundown of that place another time, your little engineering heart'll skip a beat.

[Alphys is staring at Sans with a similar kind of hesitation. She'd noticed that change in his expression - ever so slight - back to something that looked more correct, more like the Sans she knows. But, that only reinforces that something is wrong to begin with. Sans has never been completely open with her since his father died - and she was happy leaving it that way, as it put no pressure on her to be open either - but this is... out of the ordinary.]

You know about it? [she asks, as she reaches for her water. the dumb joke puts her somewhat at ease - that feels normal, at least.] Uh, wait. How long have you been here?
