Photos!

Hiyo, so because I don't have everyone from the game added to plurk, it's probably better to just do this here where it can be seen by all and I can get yays or nays.

Basically— Elena's got a camera and she likes to take pictures. Portraits, candid shots, people against scenic backdrops (aka Vacation Log/Intro), anything and everything. She either does it with the character knowing or not knowing, typical photographer who needs to capture things in the moment. She's captured a small few so far and I'm hoping she'll snap more shots of others.

If you don't mind (or you do) your character having their picture taken, let me know! There's so much space on her camera memory card, she can take plenty and many.

There may come a time later down the road where it'll come in handy for her to recognize fellow shipmates (i.e. OH HEY, I KNOW YOU. I TOOK YOUR PICTURE DURING ____________, IT'S A GOOD ONE, DO YOU WANT TO SEE IT??), and it also helps me out oocly in not assuming she's photographed every single shipmate she meets.

I don't mind Andrew or William ( saidsarcastically ) having their pictures taken. Especially since Andrew goes around recording his interactions with almost everyone on his own camera so...haha.

Ooh, this is a good one... and it's a bummer that I have to say that Elena probably shouldn't take L's picture.

L is paranoid about his image being around in general (although there is an IC one that I need to see about changing b/c I didn't realize it would be IC-ly available). The murder method he's investigating in canon involves certain people being able to kill someone if they can see that person's face, even just a picture of it, and he has no way of knowing whether or not those people would ever turn up on the ship, so he'd err on the side of paranoia.

The circumstances under which I'd say yes are basically a short scenario where Elena takes his picture from a distance and shows it to him, he's aghast and asks her to destroy it, she asks why, he explains briefly about magical murder books, and she agrees. That might be fun for CR-building! But it might not be IC for her to react that way, or might not be something you want to play through. In that case, the easiest thing is just for him to not turn up in any of her snapshots.

I'm good with her not getting any shots of him! See, this is why I'm glad I put this out there, I've gotten a lot of different responses. It's great.

As for that scenario, it would be IC for her. If anyone asked her to delete their picture, she'd not argue it and she would respect their wishes. Talk about magical murder books— it would be great for CR-building. I'm down if you are.

I don't mind Snake's picture being taken at all! However, he's one of those observant spy types, so if she tried to sneak a photo he'd probably notice and then ask her what she was doing because he's paranoid by nature. SO..... if you wanted to thread that or something, I'd be up for it!

Oh, she will! She'll see a happy couple enjoying themselves and it would make for a lovely photo, she'll capture a moment. Hope someone hires her as a wedding photographer ;D
