A New Bar Around!!!
Hello everyone. Jenni (J player here) here with a player plot.
You've probably already noticed that after the invasion plot the bar area has disappeared from Moira along with the Mess Hall, leaving the crew devoid from their precious alcohol.
But worry not! We have with Mel (Tony Stark player), Em (Sans player) and Xan (Commander Shepard player) put our heads together and made plans for our characters to start a completely new bar called Niels Bahr. It will be set up on Mero Deck in rooms #24 and #25 (read: Sans' Illicit Enterprises) and at first they will mainly serve magical moonshine and other boozes that Tony Stark and Sans will cook up in the Science lab! The bar is going to look more or less shabby and is full of IKEA furniture (put together by our dearest Commander Shepard) with few decorations.
It's not much but it's at least something and will hopefully grow and change in future!
However! Since all the alcohol will be self-made it means that the resources aren't going to last forever and that at least first there'll be limited amount of it (each batch takes its own time to get finished). And we were thinking about setting up a lighthearted barter system. It wouldn't be anything too serious but more like character x doing a little favor for the bar or give items in exchange for the alcohol (example: character x doing their laundry, giving them nicer chairs for the bar. The possibilities are limitless). The trading can also go other way around: if your character possesses alcohol, the Niels Bahr could be interested in buying it from them. The trades could be either played out or handwaved.
So, how does this sound to you guys? Would you be interested in seeing a bartering system around -- even if it's just a temporary one (I mean, we don't know whether the situation with the Mess Hall is permanent one or not.) Do you have any other questions/concerns/suggestions? Leave them here!
