"Might as well," she says. The affection she felt for him earlier has been tempered by their stupid argument, but that doesn't mean she wants him to shove off. Not really. She opens the door to the room and goes in to throw her stuff in the hamper, allowing him to follow suit. That accomplished, she starts to lead the way over to the classrooms.
"I ended up in charge of the department last month," she explains as they make their way. "At first it was me and someone else and we didn't agree on anything about how to run things. There was some other stuff going on for me though, so she ended up running things without me."
