[Well, his assessment isn’t wrong, but it isn’t entirely right either. Heart failure? Yes. R.T. node stopping? Close enough. Method of aid? Could be worse. At least he went in the right direction with CPR. Not so much with the socks to the chest. It does help a lot that the space jellies are gone. And with the compressions-turned-punches and rescue breaths, Extremis is kick-starting him back up. The glow in his repulsor battery is very gradually growing brighter again. A few flickers here and there, but his system is working to get him back to at least semi-functional.

Once again, it’s his voice that Tony registers first. He can’t make out what he’s saying, but he recognizes the tone immediately. Next, he feels an ache from where another careful blow lands. If that’s what he thought he needed— Well, it worked, didn’t it?

He’s more or less conscious now. Pretty sure he’s not dead because Steve Rogers wouldn’t be performing CPR on him otherwise. Mind is a little foggy, but things are slowly coming back to him. Spaceship, glowing lightsuckers, suspicious asteroid, and – right – alternates. He inhales softly as his eyes open and readjust t—

So, not that he’s complaining, but their lips are pressed together and it’s kind of bringing back memories since this actually isn’t the first time he’s felt Steve Rogers’ lips – except, interestingly enough, these feel much softer in comparison to what he remembers. Maybe it's because he's an alt? He should probably let him know he’s awake though because he doesn’t think he can take one more punch to his chest. It might just end up killing him if he keeps it up.

Have an awkward tap on your shoulder. He’s fine, not-his-Steve. He is fine.
