How it works:

Everyone's dying to know stuff!
Have a question? Ask a question!
Get an answer? Ask another question!
Basically everyone should go around asking all the questions ever

Questions can be as serious or silly as you want. What does John like for breakfast? What does Mary think of politics on the ship? Does Jerry sleep naked? Go wild!

Answers can be as short or as long as you want. Be brief or give up all the tl;dr that you wish!

[The question gives her pause. After a moment or two, though:]

Yes. I do love you.

[ Quick, clipped: ] I don't believe you.

[ But he does. He believes the pause, at least. ]

You don't have to. But you could try answering the question.

[ In the rush of anger that provokes: ] I despise you.

[ He says it as if spitting at her feet, his eyes flashing to hers. He'll hold her gaze, but his hate--in this moment, he does hate her--is a trembling thing. ]

[She shouldn't have expected anything else. She tells herself she didn't, keeps an unsurprised expression on her face as she looks up at her son. The space around him seems almost bitingly cold.

(She'd hoped. Stupidly, she'd hoped.)]

Did you ever?

[ His fists clench. His head tilts, mockingly, to the side. ]

Would that make you feel better?

[She can see his sarcasm, but it doesn't wound here. Not when she already has an answer.

Leia gives him a little smile, one that doesn't reach her eyes.]

I just want to know if you're lying to me.

Have you thought about not being angry all the time?

Have I thought about being weak? No, I have not.

Anger isn't a strength, not all the time.

[It was that time she got really angry and killed a man and then they set things on fire but that doesn't count because it was her anger and she's not about to admit she's just asked a pot and kettle question, okay.]

Just like happiness isn't a weakness. Is there anything that makes you really, properly happy?

Happiness is fleeting. A frivolous emotion.

Anger is a source of strength, and of power. It endures.

Don't be stupid. Anger is just as frivolous as happiness is!

[Deep breaths.]

There isn't going to be anything left of you to endure what's out there if you spend so much time hating everything that you become a bitter old husk.

[ This is ridiculous.

If anything, the ship's abundance of Jedi will close in and destroy him. ]

Don't tell me how to feel. [ It's a snarl. ] What do you know? About me or anything else. You're a gardener from an obscure little planet who's incapable of leaving well enough alone.
