The In-Character Questions Meme
the QUESTION meme

How it works:
- Everyone's dying to know stuff!
- Have a question? Ask a question!
- Get an answer? Ask another question!
- Basically everyone should go around asking all the questions ever
Answers can be as short or as long as you want. Be brief or give up all the tl;dr that you wish!
Above all have fun!

I don't suppose that's something you can teach, imagine how useful that would be. Grooming can be a time consuming struggle.
You would think we'd have magic for that sort of thing, but apparently nothing takes the place of scissors and skill with a straight edge.

(He and his landlord have a rocky relationship.)]
Gotta say, kind of sounds like you're speaking from experience. Ever had anything... You know, go wrong?
[Most people have a story of themselves trying to cut their own hair when they were a kid, Mom losing her mind, et cetera. Adding magic to that seems like a recipe for trouble.]

Ah my mouth was feeling a bit lonely without a foot stuck in it, I suppose I walked into that one, yes?
[Alright, alright.]
I have naturally wavy hair, it can get a bit annoying really. I heard that a bit of heat and iron could do wonders for straightening it out. Well a bit of iron and some magic and I thought I'd be good as gold, yes? Singed my hair, burnt my face, and eyebrows? Clean off! Fortunately healing spells are wonderful things and eyebrows grow back, which is fantastic because my eyebrows are glorious.
[Siiiiiigh]
A painful learning experience that we'll keep between us, shall we? From then on I learned to love my grooming equipment and I developed an actual skill beyond magic and the ability to look stunning in any light.

By now, the difference between Adam's scathing sarcasm and teasing sarcasm should be pretty easy to tell – this jab is pretty unambiguously teasing, because he just snorts and follows it up with:]
Your secret's safe with me.

Fortunately Dorian is capable of taking both very well, but he is learning Adam's language, he's hopeful that Adam is learning his as well.]
Ah, you're a dream and my lack of modesty thanks you for it.
