Um excuse me clearly you're getting it all wrong, that Flavia fight went like this: giant dragon matriarch ruining everyone's tea party, Cousland heroically dives in to save at least a dozen orphans, catches a tail to the chest, gets punted through a very rickety building (which then collapsed), breaking many heroic bones.
Be sure to exaggerate the 'heroic' parts. Really sells it as a true story.
