Medbux (wait what??) update!
CALLING ALL MEDICAL PEEPS!
And/Or people interested in helping out!
The following is all very informal, just here to offer/encourage any desired CR opportunities
Angela Mercy's player and I were talking and decided to do this quick little OOC post to help with some housekeeping/possibly help connect some CR opportunities!
We wanted to offer a quick summary of the state of medical and also give you guys an opportunity to give us a quick run down of what your medical character is up too. This is just to help establish a baseline, so when we start to get new people who need help, we know who can be reached by TAB and the like.
Summary on the state of Medical.
ICly as a result of the efforts of the medical staff, the entire MedBay was packed up into pacdiscs. This included medical supplies, equipment and rations of water and food; if you can call a nutrition bar food. Medical also got their hands on a big ass tent, which was set up after the Moira crashed.
This is by no means the only medical station to be set up, anyone who had wanted or who wants to set up their own station/area in the past or future was encouraged to do so. Feel free to handwave that your character had access to any of the packed supplies.
During the first week of December, as the crew is traveling the big tent probably isn't being set up every night but effort would definitely be made to have Medical be a visible presence and supplies at the ready for those who need it.
During Week Two, when we get all our lovely new people (so excited!!) the tent probably will be set up for the influx of new injured. However, like before, anyone who wants to be doing their own thing, go for it! The more aid stations the better, honestly.
That's the over view! Again, all of this is very highlevel handwave kinda deal.
Now the important part! SHOUT OUT MED PEEPS! And of course anyone who wants to be pitching in and helping? Below is a textbox with a form. Please consider taking a moment to fill out the form and just let us know who is around and what you might be doing/open for doing CR wise. This is the current listing but we know ICly folks may be shuffling around so feel free to jump on in, whether you're 'official' or not!
P.S. Medical also has a ridiculous amount of coffee. Seriously, between Angela, Adrien an espresso machine and a Stark original A.I. coffee pot, we're unofficially re-naming MedBay = MedBux!

Character Name: Angela "Mercy" Ziegler
Character's Medical duties: Physician; she specializes in cybernetics/prosthetics, restorative (plastic) surgeries, and a lot of General Doctoring. If manual work won't cut it or y'all in a hurry, she can also heal with her nanotechnology and her fancy staff. This is only for emergencies or by request, though, because she knows a lot of people take issue with the concept.
Is your character volunteering? If so BLESS THEM! How are they helping out? On first landing, she was bustling about the initial setup of the medical tent and saw to a few patients before striking out to round up stragglers and catch anyone trying to help while injured, getting them back on their feet before eventually returning for the long-term. If the crew decides to set up the big tent she will Be There, but otherwise she will always be around and available to contact throughout the weeks. Anyone who wishes to assist or learn a few things is welcome to ask!
TAB: Angela absolutely has a TAB and can be contacted 24/7; she'll always be open to even the most mundane of questions with patience and a smile (even if you wake her up, honest).

Character Name: Fatima Merali
Character's Medical duties: None, but was temporarily a field medic
Is your character volunteering? If so BLESS THEM! How are they helping out? Fatima has the ability to accelerate the growth of plants. Given direction, she could grow medicinal herbs from seeds in a matter of minutes.

Character Name: Dorian Pavus
Character's Medical duties: None, but as a mage he has top notch potioneering skills.
Is your character volunteering? If so BLESS THEM! How are they helping out? Yes he would be volunteering, he has the ability to create healing and regenerative potions. He has the materials for it in the form of seeds and I just happened to notice that Fatima can accelerate the growth of plants. Elfroot can also be used to bandage minor cuts, it can be made into a tea, and it can be chewed...so the healing properties of the plant are pretty potent.

Character's Medical duties: He's a field medic!
Is your character volunteering? If so BLESS THEM! How are they helping out? He has some training as a doctor, and even more experience from his canon with light doctoring-ish duties; he can bandage injuries very well, make some medicines... that kind of thing. He could probably help out with more intensive medical things, idk. Anyway, he'd definitely be helping out as much as he could get away with, though he's probably going to help out with the exploring as well so not. 24/7. /shrug.
TAB: He probably has; I. Don't actually know what I'm doing, l-lol. But here's his inbox, go ahead and contact him here for any reason.

Character Name: Adrien Arbuckal
Character's Medical duties: Physician. His specialty is shock trauma, emergency medicine. He's also a general practitioner, with a growing specialty in xenobiology. His medical style is standard, high tech Western philosophy, though he's worked with a lot of magic/healer types. He has one 'ability' of his own, which is he can heal bone through physical contact. Only bone, no lacerations or other abrasions and he only does so with permission.

Character Name: lúcio (because of course it's lúcio)
Character's Medical duties: none, really. so far he just uses his healing wubs to help people get to the actual trained doctors and to fix minor injuries
Is your character volunteering? If so BLESS THEM! How are they helping out? U KNOW IT lúcio tends to drop by to help with basic stuff like cleaning and general upkeep to take a few things off the doctor's plates. their skills are better used actually helping people rather than taking inventory, after all!

Character's Medical duties: Officially, she's just an assistant vet... but she has a lovely bedside manner? Her own abilities are unlikely to help much unless someone is being drained of their vital energies, rather than physically harmed.
Is your character volunteering? If so BLESS THEM! How are they helping out? For the most part, she's playing an extra set of hands and letting the ones with medical experience take the lead. Hey, it gives her a chance to watch and learn something, at least.
