ABOARD THE MOIRA Whether adjusting to space travel has been difficult or not, there is always something to be done. From working to leisure, the Moira offers a multitude of opportunities to get to know your crewmates a bit better. Exploration of the ship is highly encouraged, but as another planet grows closer to being docked, things start to get a little hectic. You'll notice a slight change in the artificial gravity as the Moira is pulled into a gravitational field; however, more noticeable changes can be found in the overall morale as you prepare to descend. ☄ on your own There are plenty of other communal areas on the ship to explore! Pick a place, and see where it takes you. ( These scenarios can be used as in-game canon. ) ERIS — 6578 Welcome to one of the sister Eris planets. This one, unlike many of its counterparts, is incredibly high dollar. For visiting individuals, it is mandatory to wear clothes befitting of such a status. For those aboard the Moira, it means discarding work attire for the formal wear they have been provided. Characters will find the temperature moderately cold, a late fall to early winter feel, and their outwear must reflect the prestige Eris—6578 is universally known for. Any sort of trading is strictly done through computers and electronic orders--nothing hands-on as it's considered beneath the inhabitants to indulge in such outdated means of interaction. Unlike most systems, money is needed to purchase things on Eris. The captains have given the crew unlimited credits; with each transaction, simply "pay" with the MID. ( These scenarios can be used as in-game canon. ) ☄ lavish living Fine dining? The movies? Or perhaps gambling? Whatever your tastes, Eris caters to everyone and everything—the more expensive, the better. There is no limit to what can be done when one has the money to spend, and this lifestyle reflects in the people and surroundings. Even sex is a very ornate process held to the highest discretion. Feel free to indulge, but know that it isn't without its consequences. ☄ taken In its underbelly, Eris—6578's main function is the trade and trafficking of bodies for one of two purposes: to be placed in a situation where you are made to kill for another's enjoyment or are tortured and killed based on the client's personal tastes. Each scenario is designed to fit the paying customer's predilections and is often carried out in places secured and private. Remember, money is no object. Therefore, the extent of what they do or make you do has no boundaries either. [Mabel, you have tugged on the wrong leg. The person it belongs to is about eight feet tall and bright orange, and when she looks down at Mabel the expression on her face indicates a deep and profound impatience for being asked questions by small humans.]

Earth? [She narrows her eyes.] Not far enough.

This woman looks like a tiger. A big, grumpy tiger with eighties hair. And a gem for a nose? It doesn't look bezazzled on, it looks like it's actually part of her skin? (How does she get one that looks AMAZING!!)

Mabel is, mostly, unperturbed by the attitude rolling off the woman in spades: frowns were just smiles that had gotten bad directions! More pressing is that Earth might not be as far away as it looks. She narrows her eyes and purses her lips.]

And how would you define not far enough? Eight...lightyear miles? Kilometers?

Is space like Canada? You don't use metric do you?

[Ugh, where was Dipper when she needed his stupid big noggin? When in her life was she supposed to predict she'd need to know how far a lightyear was?]

[Mabel's own brows draw into a deep furrow.] Is that a challenge?

[She narrows her eyes, looking extremely skeptical.] Humans don't even have any reason for dancing.

Um, yeah we do! You gots ta get down when times are funky! [Mabel pumps her elbows back and forth in a mimicry of a hoedown. Not the funkiest move, but she digresses.]

What do you use dancing for then? Do you tap out messages, like giant orange wrestler bees?

[stompadour]

[Giant... orange wrestler bees? Jasper looks confused for a second – then snorts.] No. It's for fusion. Two gems combining into a more powerful one.

[Mabel blinks.]

You can't just glue them together?

[stompadour]

[Blank, impatient stare.]

[ackingcraycray]

You know. You put the glue on and then like... [Mabel holds two imaginary rocks in the air and slowly draws them together. They connect with a soft—] splich.

I don't get why you'd need to dance to put a bunch of gems together though. Is it like a ritual? [She ponders the possible purpose, but aside from maximizing dazzle power she can't really come up with one. But, she realizes with a gasp, THERE ARE OTHER MORE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS.] Did you ever shine a light through a bunch at once and make a super rainbow?

[stompadour]

[She narrows her eyes in frustrated confusion – then makes a really irritated scoffing sound as she understands what this small human is misunderstanding.] No. I'm a gem. [She jabs a finger at the rock in the middle of her face.] We use fusion dances to combine our power.

[I am so sorry that Jasper is your introduction to a race of multicoloured jewel ladies with magic dance powers, Mabel.]

[To be perfectly fair, Jasper's got the short end of the stick when it comes to students, here. Not that Mabel's dumb or anything, far from it, she's just...well...]

Wait, does that mean the giant super rainbow is out of the picture or...

[Imaginative. Overactively so.]

A fusion gem large and varied enough to be described as a giant super rainbow would be dangerously unstable.

She gasps, delighted by the notion. What a beautiful explosion of diamonds that would be.]

That sounds amazing!

[Mabel pumps her fists in the air.]

Teach me! You gotta teach me! I want to fuse with an opal! No...emeralds! No wait... [She shakes her head and trembles with excitement.] I don't care just give me your secret dance moves!!! I'll use them for good!!!

[stompadour]

[Oh my god. Jasper actually edges away from Mabel a little, with an absolutely revolted expression on her face.] Humans can't fuse.

[DON'T CRUSH HER DREAMS.]

Have you ever tried? Hmmmmmmmmmm?

[stompadour]

[SHE'S SO OFFENDED]

Even if it was possible, why would I want to? Humans are weak – any fusion between a human and a gem would be worthless.

[Her scoff is loud and extra throaty, in that charming way only obnoxious kids can achieve.] What? Says who!

I bet you're just too chicken to try.

[stompadour]

[There's a flash of anger in Jasper's eyes.] No.

[Mabel puts her fists on her hips and flaps her elbows in the most classic of all jeers.] Buck-buck-buck-buhgawk!

[stompadour]

[WOW. Jasper doesn't even know what kind of Earth domesticated fowl Mabel is imitating and she is pissed off by it.

She grabs Mabel by the front of her sweater and yanks her off the ground to her own eye level.]

Fine. A human can't fuse anyway. Go ahead – see if you can keep up.

[She's four feet (five??? six??? how tall is jasper? Mabel's like button sized, idk what canon wants to say about heights) off the ground, but Mabel's not alarmed. She's giving Jasper this exact look.]

I'm ready....

[A tiny giggle of delight follows.]

[Eight feet tall is a conservative estimate for Jasper's height. This fact does not stop her from dropping Mabel unceremoniously to the ground once she agrees.]
