ABOARD THE MOIRA
Whether adjusting to space travel has been difficult or not, there is always something to be done. From working to leisure, the Moira offers a multitude of opportunities to get to know your crewmates a bit better. Exploration of the ship is highly encouraged, but as another planet grows closer to being docked, things start to get a little hectic. You'll notice a slight change in the artificial gravity as the Moira is pulled into a gravitational field; however, more noticeable changes can be found in the overall morale as you prepare to descend.

☄ on your own
There are plenty of other communal areas on the ship to explore! Pick a place, and see where it takes you. ( These scenarios can be used as in-game canon. )

ERIS — 6578

Welcome to one of the sister Eris planets. This one, unlike many of its counterparts, is incredibly high dollar. For visiting individuals, it is mandatory to wear clothes befitting of such a status. For those aboard the Moira, it means discarding work attire for the formal wear they have been provided. Characters will find the temperature moderately cold, a late fall to early winter feel, and their outwear must reflect the prestige Eris—6578 is universally known for. Any sort of trading is strictly done through computers and electronic orders--nothing hands-on as it's considered beneath the inhabitants to indulge in such outdated means of interaction. Unlike most systems, money is needed to purchase things on Eris. The captains have given the crew unlimited credits; with each transaction, simply "pay" with the MID. ( These scenarios can be used as in-game canon. )

☄ lavish living
Fine dining? The movies? Or perhaps gambling? Whatever your tastes, Eris caters to everyone and everything—the more expensive, the better. There is no limit to what can be done when one has the money to spend, and this lifestyle reflects in the people and surroundings. Even sex is a very ornate process held to the highest discretion. Feel free to indulge, but know that it isn't without its consequences.

taken
In its underbelly, Eris—6578's main function is the trade and trafficking of bodies for one of two purposes: to be placed in a situation where you are made to kill for another's enjoyment or are tortured and killed based on the client's personal tastes. Each scenario is designed to fit the paying customer's predilections and is often carried out in places secured and private. Remember, money is no object. Therefore, the extent of what they do or make you do has no boundaries either.

It rather clashes with the colors of my house, I'm afraid. [She's wearing them now: green dress, white chemise, black vest. Add red and someone from Earth would be forgiven for saying she looks like Christmas.

To say nothing of the fact that she's seen this cloak's near-twin on one of her greatest enemies.]

I prefer cloaks in a less limiting color. And not something that commands so much attention. [She puts it back with a sigh - objectively speaking, it is beautiful.] If there was trouble, I would never get anything done in that.

House, hmm?

[He raises an inquisitive eyebrow, although he's suddenly grateful his family doesn't particularly have livery, mostly because he suspects he would have let them down there, too.]

I prefer coats, usually, although mine vanished on the way in here. It was amazingly cool, no matter what some other people might tell you, and very good for getting things done in. Invisibility coats tend to very helpful at not attracting attention, when they're working.

[Although he suddenly looks thoughtful, poking the cloak.]

Theoretically, I could change the colour of it, I suppose, if you wanted it in, say, green. Or black.

Those exist? [And then she realizes how stupid that sounded; they were kidnapped by a ship that doesn't sail but flies between stars. She shouldn't be surprised at anything anymore.] I suppose it's too much to hope that it vanished itself instead of getting lost.

[Arianna watches with interest. Even the fae can't do something like that.]

Green would be a definite improvement. I don't think someone like me could get away with that cloak in black, though. [She wrinkles her nose.] I'm not that sort of Vard.

Mine existed, I made it. I was wearing it before being sucked through their star gate, but it wasn't spat out with me and the rest of my possessions.

[And really, finding thread from Svartalfheim had been hard enough when Svartalfheim had been a realm over, rather than apparently an entire universe or three. He's still annoyed by its loss, frankly, but then he always did have trouble letting go of things.

Still, no need to dwell on it now, so after a moment the frustrated pout smooths over into something a little less irritated teenager, a little more intent on his conversational partner.]

Oh, I suspect you could. It might be a little dramatic, but I think you'd pull it off- although I'm not sure what a Vard is or what kind you might be.

[But his hand glows bright green for a moment, and Loki looks entirely innocent as he touches the cloak and the red slowly clears to something a few shades off the magic he just used.]

Still, never let it be said I object to green.

Perhaps it's taken the long way and will turn up eventually? Things like that don't like to stay lost. [Ever the optimist...]

I fear when I think I look dramatic, I must look ridiculous to everyone else. There are others in my family who can clear a room with a stern glance. [She laughs now, but it's easier not to be upset about it when no one's tried to threaten her here.] I don't really have whatever it takes to be properly intimidating, I suppose, cloak or no.

[Arianna watches the magic with interest, and if Loki was looking for a reaction, he certainly gets one. Her face lights up and she can't help but reach for the cloak, turning the fabric over and over in her hands like she doesn't quite believe what she's seeing.]

How did you do that?

I certainly hope so, but not to the point of holding my breath waiting for it.

[He's pretty resigned, now.]

It's mostly a state of mind, you know. If you think you can be, you will be. Trust me, I've known very intimidating ladies about this high- [He holds his hand about shoulder height on him-] and far more physically imposing people I'd find it hard to ever be afraid of.

[He holds a hand up in front of him, the same faint green glow blinking into existence around his fingers. For a moment, he lets it play across his hand, before closing his fingers around it, lips curling up in a smile that isn't entirely happy.]

Magic. It's not the easiest to use purely by willing things to happen, but there's little effort in just changing the colour of something.

[Shoulder high to a god is probably as good as Arianna is getting - she's fairly short by human standards.]

I'll keep that in mind the next time someone threatens me. Though I do hope I can be convincing enough that I won't have to back it up. [That's the catch, isn't it? Arianna could hurt someone, if she had a mind to, but it's not something she particularly enjoys.]

So it won't change back? [She slips into it and twirls once - any more and the shopkeeper would probably start giving her pointed looks. Such a stuffy planet.] I've never heard of anything quite like that. And you made it look so easy...

[She stops gushing and smiles, unsure what's causing the unease.] I'll have to find some way to thank you.
