ABOARD THE MOIRA
Whether adjusting to space travel has been difficult or not, there is always something to be done. From working to leisure, the Moira offers a multitude of opportunities to get to know your crewmates a bit better. Exploration of the ship is highly encouraged, but as another planet grows closer to being docked, things start to get a little hectic. You'll notice a slight change in the artificial gravity as the Moira is pulled into a gravitational field; however, more noticeable changes can be found in the overall morale as you prepare to descend.

☄ on your own
There are plenty of other communal areas on the ship to explore! Pick a place, and see where it takes you. ( These scenarios can be used as in-game canon. )

ERIS — 6578

Welcome to one of the sister Eris planets. This one, unlike many of its counterparts, is incredibly high dollar. For visiting individuals, it is mandatory to wear clothes befitting of such a status. For those aboard the Moira, it means discarding work attire for the formal wear they have been provided. Characters will find the temperature moderately cold, a late fall to early winter feel, and their outwear must reflect the prestige Eris—6578 is universally known for. Any sort of trading is strictly done through computers and electronic orders--nothing hands-on as it's considered beneath the inhabitants to indulge in such outdated means of interaction. Unlike most systems, money is needed to purchase things on Eris. The captains have given the crew unlimited credits; with each transaction, simply "pay" with the MID. ( These scenarios can be used as in-game canon. )

☄ lavish living
Fine dining? The movies? Or perhaps gambling? Whatever your tastes, Eris caters to everyone and everything—the more expensive, the better. There is no limit to what can be done when one has the money to spend, and this lifestyle reflects in the people and surroundings. Even sex is a very ornate process held to the highest discretion. Feel free to indulge, but know that it isn't without its consequences.

taken
In its underbelly, Eris—6578's main function is the trade and trafficking of bodies for one of two purposes: to be placed in a situation where you are made to kill for another's enjoyment or are tortured and killed based on the client's personal tastes. Each scenario is designed to fit the paying customer's predilections and is often carried out in places secured and private. Remember, money is no object. Therefore, the extent of what they do or make you do has no boundaries either.

[ The observation deck is one of Clark's favorite places on the ship. It's usually quiet, and the views are often breathtaking, all without the cold distance of open space. He likes people, in all honesty, as much as he has to avoid them sometimes. He comes here to be alone, but not entirely apart.

He doesn't really expect anyone else to have lingered. After a month or two, everyone is eager to be free of the confines of the ship. He knows as soon as he gets down to the planet himself, he'll want to go flying just because he can, but it's easier to break away when there isn't as much of a crowd.

He knows most of the crew by face if not by name, so it's easy to guess that the woman is among the new recruits. Everyone reaches out far enough to touch the barrier on their first trip out here, too. Neither the view nor the impulse seem to diminish as time goes on.

He nods in greeting, but lets her be for a moment - the first day is a lot to take in, after all, and he doesn't know if she's come out here seeking some peace of her own.

Instead of looking down at the planet, he leans his arms against the railing, eyes closed for a moment, face tilted up towards the bright yellow sun. There's a quiet little purr from somewhere near his collar.

She might not be immediately visible to the woman, but a little white kitten no bigger than his palm is curled up sleeping in the space between his neck and shoulder. When he finally speaks, he pitches his voice low, partly to keep from waking her. His smile is as warm and friendly as ever. ]

First day?

Is it that obvious? [Pepper ducks her head for a moment, laughing at herself, what she's just done. Of course she has every reason to be (for lack of a better word) starstruck, but from the outside it really must have looked a little fanciful. A grown woman reaching out as if she might touch a planet looming on the horizon.

She turns towards the stranger, taking him in, her gaze for a moment focusing on the odd little ball of fluff on his shoulder that she can just barely see. Seems an odd accessory choice, but considering that Pepper's in outer space? She's not really up on the latest extraterrestrial fashion trends.]

I'm Pepper Potts. [Offering a hand, she smiles towards this man.] And I'm guessing this is a bit beyond your first day, since you can pick out the newcomers with ease.

The first while was like that for most of us, trust me. It's still like that sometimes - it's hard imagine taking all of this for granted.

[ He really means that. A sense of wonder never hurt anyone, and it helps mitigate the homesickness in the long run. ]

Clark Kent. [ He moves over to shake her hand, his grip firm but gentle. ] It's good to meet you, Ms. Potts. I've been here a few months now, so if you've got any questions, I'd be happy to answer.

[There's not so much comfort for Pepper in those words; though she's already surmised that this man, Clark, has been here for awhile, the confirmation isn't exactly welcome. How long has it been (and how many planets has he seen) for the sense of amazement to be diminished to a sometimes thing?

How long before it goes away entirely?]

It's hard to imagine what I shouldn't be asking. [Where they are, why, how can they get home. She lets out a soft sigh, though she grins still; she's gotten better at putting on the brave face, but mostly she feels fairly numb right now. There's far too much for her to try and pick apart in front of a stranger.] I've gleaned some of it. Apparently I've been "hired" to work here, although I have to say I'm not at all impressed with their human resources department thus far.
