PLAYER PLOTS
Hello everyone! With the new Arc, and setting, we're switching up how we do plots/logs/events in the game. At the beginning of each month, you'll get a post setup by your mods just like the one we rolled out few days ago. There will be the TMI section, Thisavrou related missions, and new open worlds. There will also be a link to all previous worlds because they don't close! You can skip one this month and do it the following, or six months later.
That said, we'd also like to include one player run plot in the middle to end of the month. (As a note, there is no cut off for counting tags to get the bonus sencs during AC; you'd just have to submit them on the next activity check). This player plot can be something that happens on Thisavrou, one of the open worlds, or it can be a brand new world - whatever you want to create. You can submit your ideas to the feedback page and we'll help you hash it all out. Then we'll plurk it and get the word out there for you. Ideally, we'd like to get the plot set up the month before it goes out so we can put the dates on the calendar so players know ahead of time.
This means that for next month, March, we'd like to get a player to suggest a plot that they'd like to have set up. Running the plot can be as simple as creating the information so that we or you can post it in the form of a log or ooc post, but it can be more involved than that. It's up to you! We're very excited for this because it allows players to really get into the setting and create plots that will effect everyone.
ACTIVITY CHECK
A brand new post is up here. It's a different system, so if you have questions ask on this post. There's an example comment and response form on that post to show you what it should look like.
VALENTINE'S DAY
Since we don't have a player plot set up for this month, we're going to roll out a short log for Valentine's Day. But we need your help. It doesn't have to be a standard romantic party log, though those can be great for getting cr, so we'd like your suggestions on how to mix it up. Let's make it weird, creepy, scary - anything goes! Comment below!

Are the Moiran crewpeople the first group from Earth (well, those that are from Earth) to settle down in thisavrou or have there been others before them? If they're not a first, maybe a framework could be that some of the Earth holiday traditions they brought with them were embraced to a degree and then adapted to fit the alien species' ways of thinking about affection.

-Instead of roses being commonly given as romantic bouquets, small potted plants of herbs (say, chives) are given out because they are useful and tasty, and who doesn't want their loved ones to have useful and tasty things?
-Instead of Cupid, infants of a particularly odd-looking and tentacle-y species of alien are used as an icon of the holiday.
-Chocolate hearts are a popular candy. Literal hearts. Literal chocolate-coated meat hearts made from a common species of lizard-like animals the size of guinea pigs.
-Instead of slow dancing, it's a really long, complicated, line dance style of group dance that couples do together, and if you fuck it up it's the same as saying you don't love your partner anymore, basically.
-Drinking a special Valentine's drink compels one to speak a blunt, possibly uncomfortable truth to the person they're with, because love means being completely honest.

--Inhalant that alter the mood of the character. Basically something's in the air, maybe even at a certain location, which makes any character's inhibitions lower (it could be up to the player how far this goes; simply being more flirty or just making THE WORST DECISIONS OF THEIR LIFE).
-- Good ol' card/gift swap! It doesn't necessarily have to be something based in romance, it could be platonic too! In addition, maybe receiving cards and presents can artificially boost a character's mood, which depending on how many they get, could just be pretty funny. I'm all for the idea of just swapping cards and stuff for the sake of it tho'!

The Savrites warn the populace over the radio/television to be aware of a swarm of kyupyds. Because it sounds like Cupid, the Moirans assume they're being seasonally cute, but it turns out that kyupyds are actually hornet like creatures the size of cows when they reach full size, but in their infancy they're about the size of a Labrador. Side effects of being stung are enormous, pus filled blisters, an angry orange rash and in some cases, temporary narcolepsy and paralysis.
