Powerswaps and Contaminants: the OOC post!
Hey, Savrites! The log is up, and with it, extra plotting options. As usual, players are free to run with the provided prompts and missions on their own direction. But for those who are looking for more guided options...
Powerswaps
From May 9-13, it's time for a power swap! Or rather, a power duplication. Players are free to have their characters suddenly be gifted (or cursed) with any special power possessed by a character who is now or has ever been in the game or by a character who has never been in the game but is from the same world as a player character. (For example, someone could develop the same powers of Kitty Pryde from the X-Men movieverse.)
Existing powers are not taken away unless players wish that to happen; if Player A wishes their character to be able to summon teddy bears at will and Player B plays the only character around who can summon teddy bears, that just doubles the number of characters who can summon teddy bears for the duration of the event. However, those of you who would enjoy a one-to-one swap can sign up using the form below, and we will RNG this for you.
Signups will close on May 9th, 12:00 p.m. EST, and results will be announced shortly after. Characters are welcome to arrange powerswaps after that time-- they just won't be entered in the RNG pool.
(De)Contamination
For the most part, the immediate effects of the outbreak will be limited to those described in the log. However, players are both welcome and encouraged to follow up with their own posts or investigations-- or reach out to assist others who are. As with Asteroid 276, the information dispensed to both players and characters depends largely on the interactions with the setting, and can very much affect the direction this narrative goes.
Of course, your characters aren't the only ones who are looking for information. The Department of Ingress Contingency Coordination is attempting to log all cases of exposure to the contaminant-- which, as previously described, includes all PCs who set foot on Asteroid 276. Are you coming forward to mitigate the risk to others? Reporting your friends to mitigate their risk to you? Or keeping your exposure secret to avoid the suspicion (and bi-weekly chemical stain) from your peers? Think about it, and if you'd like to keep us updated, please toss a comment under the header below.

Heehee. Thank you!
Re: Questions/Comments
Also, do you know why many (but not all) of the things you post show up pretty far down on my reading page, and if there's anything I can do to have them show up at the top so that I will see them?

For the posting order, it's the same logged in or logged out so I think you would see it too, but the weird thing isn't what it looks like, it's that stuff keeps showing up nearer the bottom rather than at the top. (The activity check showed up most of the way down the page, and I only noticed it because I was specifically looking for it after not seeing it the day before. The CR meme showed up on the second page and has since fallen off the reading page altogether...but I see now that I look closer that it was posted sometime in April, so I guess that makes sense.)
So umm, I now realize that you must be posting things private and then making them public later on (I didn't know you could do that in communities) and that this is the expected behavior. Sorry!

Character Powers:
Perception Alteration Alters the area around her and whoever they are talking to, usually defaulting to an area of emotional importance/distress though this can change if user puts their mind to it.
Technopathy: Angel is capable of accessing and interfacing with a number of technological features. Now you can be too!
Overloading and glitching: Angel's powers can be notoriously unstable, a fact that can be transferred to the new user. Interactions with whoever has these powers could possibly result in technology freaking out around her conversation partners. This could potential result in things such as robotic arms malfunctioning, though not to a critical degree.

Character Powers:
>> He turns into a car
>> He is a robot
Both of these things are ... pretty self explanatory. He is a 15' robot who turns into a racecar. Which makes him faster and stronger than a human. He's made of metal.

Character Powers: Mage stuff. More details over here on his app, but he has ice, protective and rift magic, can view memories in Dreams (as well as be conscious and drag other people into dreams) and has some crazy strong "can turn people to stone" powers too.

Anything to note?: Probably very shaky and terrified during the process.

Anything to note?: She's a pretty willing volunteer and optimistic that she'll stop feeling weird after this.

Anything to note?: He'd be incredibly scared, and maybe a little difficult to deal with through some of the medical procedures.

Logged through: Self-reporting. Loud, shrieking reporting.
Anything to note?: ... he's a giant robot. Who probably yells and flails around a lot the entire time.
Character Name: Shiro

Anything to note?: Any medical procedure required will result in poorly hidden anxiety.

Anything to note?: Accidentally gave a different name to the DICC to the one she gave on the Asteroid.

Anything to note?: Alan will be cooperative with all procedures, though he will repeatedly ask if the personnel if they've noticed any patterns among the nightmares of those afflicted and will suggest that it might be something to be looked into.

Anything to note?: Casually dissociated through the whole procedure like a champ

Anything to note?: Asks if she can schedule her decontaminations at the same time as Alan Bradley. Has purchased blue armor and a helmet, which she will be wearing a lot more often over her green-stained hair, even at work. It makes her feel safer.
