Also since he's Alan's roommate, he'll get even more of a chance to meet Bit, which is always fun :D

This really is a fabulous match, right here. I'll be really curious over how their first interaction goes, because there's so much potential. Will Alan become a friend/coworker? Will chemistry somehow lead to friction or distance? Will there even be chemistry?

(Oh my goodness, Bit is here?! That little guy was adorable! Does he just stay around the room? Is he like a pet of sorts?)

I have no idea! But it'll be fun to find out :D

And Bit does mostly stay in the room! My justification is that it's become a lot warier since it was confiscated by the Savrii (and consequently rescued). Alan wouldn't call it a pet since it's sentient enough to hold simple conversation if you format your questions correctly -- it's more of a companion/assistant!
