☄ DECONTAMINATION #2 ( 04.14 - 04.17 ) On the Moira, crew come and go without much hassle. They take a transporter to planets and moons and back again without any fuss... Until today. All crew that try to reboard the Moira coming back from Del Pascia will be denied access, a warning flashing on their MID - Decontamination Required for Entry. It’s a protocol that hasn’t been enacted before, and the MID offers no explanation as to why it is now. The transporter will seal and then be permitted to dock in the Cargo Bay, where the procedure will begin. All crew on the transporter have to dispose of their clothing by placing it inside hazardous waste bags located in a compartment near the front of the craft. After all clothing is stored, a gas-like substance will fill the transporter, breathable yet tasteless, and once it dissipates, crew will be free to go. ☄ D.ON'T E.VER L.EAVE ( 04.18 - 04.23 ) After the decontamination procedures for the Moira go off, the captains issue a ship-wide alert to let the crew know that the ship is picking up on something inside each person that boarded the space station. It is speculated that the crew came in contact with an unknown biological contaminant either during the station’s decontamination procedure or sometime after. At this point, they aren’t aware of what will happen to those that are carrying the contaminant, and the captains ask for anybody with experience to head to the Medbay to begin testing. Crew don’t appear to be in any danger, so they are allowed to continue gathering materials and supplies on board the space station at their discretion. (Every time they come and go, they will be made to go through the procedure described above). ☄ FEAR ME, LOVE ME, DO AS I SAY ( 04.24 - 04.28 ) Like most unfortunate things, it seems everything happens all at once. The noises you heard, a step falling moments after yours or a rattle coming from the vents, become louder. You can’t place where they are coming from at first. You turn, you follow, but the search yields no results. And then, without any warning, it’s crystal clear as “they” begin to creep and move from within the shadows and ruined sections of Del Pascia: the prisoners and workers said to have been relocated by D-E-L. Their voice is one, regardless of how many gather, and they tell you, “You can be happy here” and “I can make you better” shortly after. As always, fearing for the safety of the crew (and despite the disrepair of the Moira from events prior), the captains ask for all those capable to assist with extracting those aboard Del Pascia as quickly as possible before D-E-L tries to lock them inside. Running, after all, is better than dying, and it’s certainly something everyone aboard the Moira has gotten quite good at. |

What is the likelihood of them being able to nuke it from orbit after they've gotten people out?

Is a crew member fights back, is there any way to permanently kill or neutralize them or will they always heal themselves?
Can crew members be mutated and brought into the fold?

He's not actually interested in rescuing anyone or fighting anything, though, and will be spectacularly unhelpful in that regard because he doesn't really see this as his problem.
What I want to know is... once the final stage of the plot kicks off, can Kaworu REACH D-E-L wherever they are (it is?) or otherwise be able hold a conversation with it? Because he'd very much want to speak with the AI. Not about the Moira or anything, he sincerely does not care about that, but like... to find out what it wants. Out of existence.
Also, the whole oneness-as-freedom-from-strife-and-human-suffering thing is a bit like Human Instrumentality, and so he'd want to ask it about that, too.
I know there's an 'ask the AI' thread already, but because of the specific motivations and timing involved here, I'm asking here.
At the very least, I'd need to know if D-E-L will be as conversational by that point and would LIKE to know if he'd receive different answers from it if he reached the main bank.

Re: Questions/Comments
Won't someone think of the robots?I-I mean; it's a biological contaminant, so what does that mean for the ship population that isn't biological at all? (Like our resident Reploids, Transformers and Gems, etc.) Would they be able to pass through decontamination without any hiccups or will the D-E-L find other means of trying to pull them in?
... Or will it just kick out the competition and hoard all the organics for itself because Reasons.

so like forward to that question thread, aurelia would be looking for the power source regardless
and loot chests, i'm assuming the spare ones are like super hard to find and locked away? i just want to know how feasible it would be for her actually to steal one as a fuck you to del, if at all :|<also wrt the prisoner's healing: is it just fire that kills them or can they pull themselves together after being turned into paste? ... and maybe spread around a bit when said robot doesn't notice them on his hands and feet... im sorry...

EDIT: Also, would nerve disrupter fire work on the mutants? It's an electric current that's meant to fry nerves on contact, which is usually fatal on humans or at least causes pretty severe long-term damage.

PLOTTING POST
So like I think Kaz and Boss team up and hunt him down and one of them carries him out. Probably Kaz, he's maternal that way. And so once they leave to board the Moira Boss grabs Kaz around the waist and kisses him as the facility explodes behind them and they fly away together.
EVERYONE ELSE GO HOME! I nailed this plot

plot plot plot WIGGLES 👌👌👌
clearly this place should start getting to him at least a little bit so he can be more pissed off at himself
Wizera's Girls
Maya
-She has a blaster; want her to rescue you?
-The girl works as a stripper back home; if you get into decontamination with her, she'll probably make it fun...
-It really wouldn't be hard to convince her to abandon the Moira--she hates it--so someone to drag her back to the ship would be good
Fatima
-As much as Fatima likes to flaunt it, the idea of getting undressed in front of dudes would make her very uncomfortable and that means, obviously, decontamination should happen
-She's pretty trigger happy and will resort to spells the second she feels threatened; I would like some people to see her using magic
-Technically, she's a field medic, but she doesn't know what she's doing so please bring your wounded her way

Illya
- Definitely capable of rescuing people, as he's got the brute force
- Has no qualms about undressing in all male company (too much a soldier) but will be very much opposed in mixed company
Lithari
- Has no shame about stripping no matter who's present
- May need help getting back to the Moira, she's short ammo for her bow, and she's pretty small as it is.
