There hasn't been much interaction between the two of them yet, but Tex respects that Venom is a good soldier, especially from what she's heard from Ocelot. The eyepatch thing and the scarring reminds her a bit of her friend York, who lost an eye in a training exercise, so she has her sympathies there.
