NEWBIE QUESTION Are people expected to spend the entire stop planetside, or can they come back and crash on the ship if they don't feel like getting awesome hotel rooms for whatever reason?

Oh, yeah. They don't have to stay anywhere if they don't want to. The hotels are there if someone wants them, but it's not mandatory.
