Who is this character? Ginko from Mushi-Shi
Tell us something about them. While Mushi-Shi mostly focuses on incidents in Ginko's adult life as basically a paranormal pest control guy, right now, he's pretty much just a weird-looking amnesiac twelve-year-old from 1850s Japan with a history of bad guardians, mental problems, and getting driven out of places.

To go into a little more detail, Ginko 1. can't remember anything about himself or his life from before he was about ten, leaving him with only two years' worth of memories, and 2. suffers from a condition that attracts ethereal, potentially dangerous creatures called mushi to him. Several people who work with mushi for a living have in the past taken him in and taken advantage of his condition to get more work, effectively treating him more as a tool than a child - a tool which was then discarded when the mushi he attracted became more than they could handle.

In addition, Ginko ended up driven out of several villages because of his condition, and the first time a 'mushi master' tried to take him in and treat him like an actual child, Ginko managed to screw it up spectacularly and got banned from an entire mountain. Unsurprisingly, he's ended up with some fairly severe emotional and self-esteem problems.

Personality-wise, Ginko is a fairly quiet, nervous child who's actually a good bit smarter than he lets on. Though he's generally reluctant to object to anything anyone else does for fear of reprimand, he may salt all over them say something if he gets frustrated enough, and is a good bit more willing to try and take action to help others than for his own sake... even if the action he takes is really ineffective and/or actively self-destructive. He's kind of a disaster.

How long have they been on the Moira? About six months.

What have they been doing? Ginko works at the library, and spends a good bit of free time there too. Since he was actually not all that great at reading when he arrived he's been working on practicing that, mostly by going through every biology book he can find. He also hangs around the gardens a good bit because he just really loves plants.

In addition, Ginko has been attempting the whole 'making friends' thing, to varying degrees of success. But, hey, at least he's trying.

What do they think of the captains? He figures they seem pretty okay; after all, they haven't thrown him off the ship yet, so.

Have they figured out a plan of action? Right now, he's mostly trying to work on getting more proactive and helping out when things go wrong. His success thus far has been very limited, thanks to his being twelve and very afraid of most things, but he figures he's got to be Useful. CLEARLY THIS WON'T END BADLY

Is there something specific your character wants to do? He wants to Help and that's all he's got at the moment.

Got plans for the next month? Not much!

What about plans over all? IDEALLY I want to work toward convincing this kid that he actually has a right to exist and be happy and have friends?? We'll see how well that works out

Specific CR? Let's get this kid some more friends and family!! Other kids his own age, sibling/parent figures, WHATEVER. I'm also very much good with negative CR, but it might be a little tough to get Ginko to actually dislike anyone.

Anything else? I'm gonna be busy for the next week-ish so that's a thing. ALSO here is Ginko's permissions post; particularly let me know if you want to avoid discussion of child abuse and/or suicidal ideation.

Yes hello I'm taking applications for problem children to fuss over and you look like an ideal candidate— MAN I NEVER THOUGHT I'D SEE ANY GINKOS AROUND MUCH LESS HIS SWEET BABY SELF I'm so excited! I don't know if you'd be down for it but I'd love for him and Angie here to meet! She's an older field medic type and she's very patient and doting, as well as about eight miles of stubborn. The second she sees his interest in biology she'd offer to teach him whatever he'd like, really! She would regularly check in on him and make sure he's doing all right until they know each other a little better. >:T

Ginko and Angela CR sounds fantastic tbh! And he could definitely benefit from someone actually teaching him this stuff, so far he's used to just kinda hunting down information where he can and hoping for the best :'D

Nick Wilde

Who is this character? Nick Wilde from Zootopia

Tell us something about them. Well the obvious first thing to mention is that Nick is literally a bipedal red fox. SO with that established: For the five people who didn't see this movie, Nick comes from a setting where primates in general don't exist and other mammals, which are as intelligent as humans, coexist in one society. Unfortunately, mammals are heavily stereotyped based on diet and species, and Nick, being a fox, had it ground into him from an early age that he would be expected to be sneaky and untrustworthy for his entire life. Eventually, he gave up on trying to be anything else.

However, after years of working as a scammer, Nick inadvertently got dragged into a CRIME-SOLVING ADVENTURE with a rabbit police officer named Judy Hopps. Despite their initial enmity, largely thanks to Nick being a sarcastic ass, Nick and Judy ended up becoming close friends, and Nick eventually became a police officer to work as her partner.

How long have they been on the Moira? Two months.

What have they been doing? Mostly getting used to life on the ship; he's been assigned to work as a welding technician, though he honestly may apply for a reassignment before too much longer (he has definitely set himself on fire at least once). He's been inactive for a while since he was injured in the recent attack on the ship.

What do they think of the captains? Honestly, they seem a little shifty to him, but so far as he can tell going along with them is his best bet to get home.

Have they figured out a plan of action? For now, he's just going along with things.

Is there something specific your character wants to do? Probably get his fuzzy little fingers into everything going on on this ship honestly, but he'd settle for just some of it. He might start up some kind of vaguely shifty business. But only VAGUELY shifty so that's an improvement for him.

Got plans for the next month? No real plans right now!

Specific CR? Get this trashfox some FRIENDS for him to gossip hang out with. Enemies would also be good given that he is, after all, a little shit!
