Favorite journalistic assignment to date?

A lot of the stuff I've taken on has had a lot of background to them. And they've all come with their goods and bads.

For example— Zoran Lazarevic. He was a Siberian war criminal, a power-hungry psychopath. He got off on torturing and murdering innocent people. He was a monster, and I lost a good friend to him when we were hot on his trail.

It both fascinated and sickened me, how he worked. But the bigger picture was to prove to the world that he was alive after being reported dead from a bomb strike.
