Hello Savrites!

We had originally intended this to be a normal mod update type of post, but we decided to do a State of The Game update instead. Mostly to let you know what's going on, where we're going, and where we'd like to end up.

First, let's talk about apps! As per the calendar, applications will be opening up again on October 16th. We have changed some of the rules regarding apps to (hopefully) make it easier on both new and old players as well as the mods. They are reflected on the individual pages, but here is a summary:
☄ A reserve is now required for all applications.
☄ There will be an application cap.
☄ Any current player who officially drops may re-app a new character at any time, but only once every 2 months.

The application cap will be set to 15 applications for new players and 15 applications for current players. This means we will have a total of 30 app slots open during October. Whichever slots are not filled will then be opened as a "free for all" on the last day of the cycle (October 22nd).

Two Page Updates: Mini Games & Jobs

TIMELINE:

October - Mini Colony * see info below
November - Ship Month
December - Midway Hub
January - Midway Hub
February - Arc II Thisavrou

Plot Specific Sign Ups Are Now Closed

In October the ship will be touching down on the Runoff's Mini Colony. This is a mecha of trade and commerce, which is something we want to do a little bit of world building with. There are three sections below that players should participate in. The first is a sign up for location specific plot; take a look at the linked map and respond with your character's name and the corresponding number. Once all the numbers have been taken, we'll double them over for anyone else that signs up. The second section is to 'create a business'; in this section players can build a business and then NPC it during the event. The third is suggest something that occurs on the mini colony; you list it and if it fits, we'll approve it. All of this stuff will be built into the event logs when they come up. We'd really like our players' input.

If anyone has questions about the upcoming event(s), Arc II, or anything else, let us know below. Thank you all for being amazing players.

Horror...?

Fair enough! I completely forgot to enter a thing in the subject line, and if it makes a difference, I'd pick horror-- but it's seeming like Rinzler might not be a good fit to interact too directly with this group regardless. So no pressure if his behavior prevents you from offering more plot!

He stares at them in irritation, fingers flexing slightly at his side. He would assume they're part of the (annoying) group and be disinclined to answer directly, but between the helmeted glaring, growling, and trajectory away, no would be pretty easy to interpret.

He's suspicious. Users don't talk to you unless you have something they want. Headtilt ensues, implied question: what for?

(He'll call up a text display if he absolutely has to, but defaults to nonverbals-- especially when he hasn't decided if someone's actually worth wasting words on.)

...well, that's a surprising degree of honesty from a user. Or maybe they're saying CISM isn't good people? Either way, Rinzler's distrust is increasing about as rapidly as his interest. Safer implies a threat, and as pathetic as the protesters seem, he doesn't consider them a likely source. Not to mention, there's something disturbingly familiar about that smile. And the reach.

He'd stare back for a long moment, noise ticking out just a little louder. Then he'll turn (blatantly ignoring the extended hand), and start to walk. If they want to walk with him and talk, they can. If they're pulling him aside for something else... their error. He's wanted to kill something since arriving in this place.

Still, he'll push a little more power to his scans, keeping an eye on his surroundings.

oh my gods MURDERER OFF yes please

I'm definitely in favor of involving others, so we're probably looking at a semi-successful incapacitation followed by rescue/assisted-reverse-murdering. Would they have any powers, contacts, or other tricks to help them take him down? What sort of mind games are we talking? (Preferred intensity: ...severe-ish? I don't wanna perma-break Rinzler, but I do want to mess him up in the short term, and he tends to be extremely hard to get to.)

((Also, if we've hit a point where I should just be making up these details, lemme know; I can self-generate or keep spamming you with questions, either way.))

Fair enough! I'll toss around my own headthoughts and get back to you here if I have any more outpost-connecty questions that need working out. Thanks for the information, this sounds fun!
