ABOARD THE MOIRA
Whether adjusting to space travel has been difficult or not, there is always something to be done. From working to leisure, the Moira offers a multitude of opportunities to get to know your crewmates a bit better. Exploration of the ship is highly encouraged, but as another planet grows closer to being docked, things start to get a little hectic. You'll notice a slight change in the artificial gravity as the Moira is pulled into a gravitational field; however, more noticeable changes can be found in the overall morale as you prepare to descend.

☄ on your own
There are plenty of other communal areas on the ship to explore! Pick a place, and see where it takes you. ( These scenarios can be used as in-game canon. )

ERIS — 6578

Welcome to one of the sister Eris planets. This one, unlike many of its counterparts, is incredibly high dollar. For visiting individuals, it is mandatory to wear clothes befitting of such a status. For those aboard the Moira, it means discarding work attire for the formal wear they have been provided. Characters will find the temperature moderately cold, a late fall to early winter feel, and their outwear must reflect the prestige Eris—6578 is universally known for. Any sort of trading is strictly done through computers and electronic orders--nothing hands-on as it's considered beneath the inhabitants to indulge in such outdated means of interaction. Unlike most systems, money is needed to purchase things on Eris. The captains have given the crew unlimited credits; with each transaction, simply "pay" with the MID. ( These scenarios can be used as in-game canon. )

☄ lavish living
Fine dining? The movies? Or perhaps gambling? Whatever your tastes, Eris caters to everyone and everything—the more expensive, the better. There is no limit to what can be done when one has the money to spend, and this lifestyle reflects in the people and surroundings. Even sex is a very ornate process held to the highest discretion. Feel free to indulge, but know that it isn't without its consequences.

taken
In its underbelly, Eris—6578's main function is the trade and trafficking of bodies for one of two purposes: to be placed in a situation where you are made to kill for another's enjoyment or are tortured and killed based on the client's personal tastes. Each scenario is designed to fit the paying customer's predilections and is often carried out in places secured and private. Remember, money is no object. Therefore, the extent of what they do or make you do has no boundaries either.

Skills we have acquired over very long careers

[Giant human, check. Dwarf, check. Blood, check. Feet on the expensive furniture, check.

This is almost a Hightown party.

He lets the human roll around a bit, but he's casting worried glances around the room at the same time. Specifically, at the door on the opposite wall. It's probably locked, but a dwarf can dream...in a manner of speaking.]
Don't worry, I highly doubt either of us has anything interesting to say. They might skip the chatter and go straight to 'kill'.

Think you can get up, or do I have to roll you out the door?

Skills that make me a nightmare for hotdogs.

Sounds like fun. I like when people cut all the red tape.

[He wobbles a little, getting up on all fours first, and then to his feet.]

They punched me in the face with a gun.

I hate when people do that.

You are a very short man. Are you Italian?
brosbeforeprose: (staying power)

niko u little shit

[personal profile] brosbeforeprose 2015-12-07 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
[Varric stands as the human does, brushing himself off more out of habit than out of any actual fear there's anything on his coat - and then he pauses in the motion, staring up in mock-amazement.]

Short? Me? Andraste's ass, why didn't anyone tell me sooner? There was me thinking all you humans were just too blighted tall for your own good.

[He has no idea what an Italian is, but just for good measure:] I think the technical term is dwarf, serah.

[Anyway, there's a perfectly good door over there, so Varric's just going to saunter his way over to it and... Of course it's locked. Why should his day get any better? And of course there isn't a keyhole.

Technology can kiss his hairy ass. He turns, clapping his hands together.]

Right, let's start tearing the room apart. Maybe we'll find something. Or maybe the lady of the house has have a swooning fit and someone comes rushing in to stop us.

Oh. Okay. Not human. [He held his hand to his head and turned slowly as he stared around the finery of the room.] I come from a place where people are human. Or at least very good at pretending that they are people and just happen to be human.

[He looks at that door, too, but knows his brain is not in the mood to figure that out even if it could in a more lucid state.]

[Niko starts looking along the borders of the ceiling, probably looking a little dizzy/disoriented to Varric. But he's searching. For something, anyway.]

[That little observation gets a snort from Varric. Not that he's ever been anywhere that's human-only - those places exist, sure, but way out in the backwaters of Podunk, Anderfels or something, where he has exactly zero desire to be - but eh, he gets the idea.] Demons often wear a familiar face, and all that. Figuratively speaking.

[And, depending on where you go, literally.

The human is pretty preoccupied with the ceiling after that, and Varric has no earthly idea if it's dizziness, zoning out, or genuinely looking. Either way, flipping a fancy-looking table as he goes -]
I always wanted to do that. [ - Varric heads for the armoire against the wall, which, aside from being ornate and glossy and too fancy to be real outside of a noble's wet dream, looks a bit less...technological than most things. The lock - there's even a keyhole! - clicks very satisfyingly when he picks it, the doors swing open, and...]

...Huh.

[He steps aside, though the human can probably see over his head anyway. Neatly displayed against the back wall of the armoire is one large, heavy-looking axe, and some kind of large, ridiculous two-handed monstrosity of a bladed weapon he's never seen the likes of before. Neatly displayed though they may be, the liquid spattering both the blades and the bottom of the armoire's cupboard is unmistakeably blood. Even though it runs the gamut from blue to green to red.]
